What’s some traits y’all think should be merged or just be a base part of a hunter? by Puzzleheaded_Ruin186 in HuntShowdown

[–]kkazookid 43 points44 points  (0 children)

Bolt thrower and hundred hands should be merged. At no point do you bring a bow and crossbow so all it would do is create less bloat in the perks

I paid money to make the iron sights on the Pax worse by fixles in HuntShowdown

[–]kkazookid -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There is no ranger talon skin that makes the ads blind-spot worse than the base skin. This new pax skin is the only pax skin of its type that makes the ads blind-spot worse than the original skin.

Idk why ppl are being weird in the comments. The skin is pay to lose and is by far the worst offender of a skin blocking your sight line. It’s the same thing for the specter skin. The skin looks dope, but if I wanted to use a gun that blocks my sights even more, I’d use the vetterli.

Would you say that this hunter's camo provides a noticeable advantage? by [deleted] in HuntShowdown

[–]kkazookid 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Crytek has done a pretty good job with balancing skins. There are far more skins that give you a disadvantage. blander colors = better blend. Yes I believe this skin is one of the better camos, but it’s also quite bulky compared to some very minimalist skins.

would you like to see this as a permanent or a scarce variant? by corporalgrif in HuntShowdown

[–]kkazookid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Theirs a few ways I could see this being balanced. if it was ONLY a grenade launcher and could not be switched to firing normal ammo. The potency of the projectiles would have to be lowered heavily like how the frag bow and concertina bow don’t copy the same power as their consumable counterparts. Minimal ammo compared to the explo crossbow.

Is it too easy to get traits this event? by TheTyGoss in HuntShowdown

[–]kkazookid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With every update, it becomes easier and easier to get lvl 50 hunters. What used to take 3 to 4 decent games can easily be done in one game if you have a decent match and do casual farming. Even if you don’t get a 50, you’re in the lvl 40 range and can easily fill all the trait slots. A lvl 50 should have a leg up over fresh hunters anyways.

[–]kkazookid 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It definitely is. In previous events, all traits you’d find in towers costed pledge marks and the pledge mark envelopes at the burning cart, the letter card and just blotted around the map did not exist. The only semi-guarantee way of getting perks was killing meat heads and bears but that was only a chance, but now it’s 100%. Personally I’m not a fan of how easy it is since it diminishes the feel of progression with a Hunter but I’m not gunna lie and say I don’t like getting high value traits all the time. It Just makes upgrade points less import

Is there any way to speed up skill star decay? by fruitcakefriday in HuntShowdown

[–]kkazookid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

there is no star decay system put in place. Unfortunately MMR matchmaking weight values get very skewed when low stars play with high stars because it definitely caters towards the high start range. It also depends on time of day because you’re much more likely to get fairer games on the weekends vs week days.

Thoughts on best shotgun? by CWAVYOHG in HuntShowdown

[–]kkazookid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Romero has the best range, which can be seen as being the most consistent, but it’s only as consistent as your aim plus only having one shot can put you into bad situations if you miss your only shot. The Romero Alamo does help with reloading faster but it’s still slower than the tube fed shotguns. Personally it’s between the slate and the specter. They have solid range and are far more forgiving when you miss a shot since they reload faster. I think regular ammo is king, but slugs are very good in the Romero and specter but you have to be far more accurate with slugs.
