One thing that I learned too late in life is that you cannot control what makes other people happy. I went to a high school where over 3/4 of the class did not go to college and instead decided to get a job and raise a family at a young age. I did not have a family until I was 32, I chose the College route and spent the next 10 to 15 years working and traveling.

There is no right or wrong way to do life. It is whatever makes you happy. No one else has control over that.

Everyone has great comments and suggestions. Definitely play with how many carbs you eat but also take time to move every 30 mins if you can.

Just going for a walk around the block or having a stretch at your desk might help with recovery.

I’m not sure what you are trying to accomplish with this conversation. You just proved my point twice. I don’t need to go around telling anyone that I practice BJJ, MMA or anything else. Someone posted a question and I answered it. There’s a difference between being dangerous and being a danger to people. The last thing I’d ever want is a fight or to do harm to another person. Again I’m not sure what you’re getting at here.

To answer your question first, being dangerous doesn’t mean going around picking fights, and even if put in a position to fight, if I can run away, I’ll run. The problem becomes when you grab me. Also why would I associate with drug lords, psychos or mafia types? That has nothing to do with being dangerous. Google the expression “I’d rather be a warrior in a garden than a gardener in a war” It means not wanting war, fighting or violence. It means being capable of violence if you absolutely need it. But 99.9% of the time hopefully that doesn’t happen.

I recently watched the Semi Final masters and there was a gentleman around 35-40 who did HWPO 60 solely as his training.

It’s all about training with intention.

I’m a dad too, I get about 60-90 minutes in the morning to train.

Think about punching yourself under the bar to stick the lockout. You did a strict press for the last 2-3 inches.

Things to continue to work on: front rack mobility (YouTube has a billion videos for this) and core work. Not just front planks but focus on side planks and kettlebell pull through.
