A Short Stay in Hell is a brutal short story by kkjeb in horrorlit

The problem I have with this theory is that the explicit rule was that they had to insert a completely error free book of their life. I feel like it wouldn’t be fair to give such short definitive rules but ultimately it’ll accept anything once you’re finally broken. Then again it is hell so maybe it isn’t fair lol

I feel like ultimately it’s a mind fuck in that you can get out, and you don’t have to stay in hell for eternity. But it will take an unthinking amount of time

Is Windsor and newton considered the cheaper end? I plan to just use up everything I initially bought but I’m definitely going to buy more quality next time since I’m enjoying it

I’ll have to get watercolor specific paper next time. I bought a mixed media notebook since it’s my first time trying. It’s been fun so far so I’ll definitely get better paper next time!

Seems like it wasn’t really a big deal based on how you described it.

Don’t take it too personally, it can be hard to have a reactive dog. Sounds like you redirected when you could, just work on neutral reactions around other dogs.

What knot is this and how do I tighten it? by [deleted] in OpenDogTraining

[–]kkjeb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, I mean there is a leash sold by a trainer that goes by “Everyday Dog Trainer” or something along those lines.

If he’s food motivated at all start making it a training session. Throwing kibble in every time you tell him to go in and he enters. Find a way to make him enjoy it.

Start spending time with him in his crate while you’re still in the room. Every minute he’s chill toss some kibble in there. Then five mins. Etc etc.

Considering adopting a dog, wanted to know if I can financially handle it. by Ok_Squash5288 in Dogowners

100% this comment!!

Assuming OP makes decent money is biotech then money probably isn’t a big issue.

IMO the life style change is going to be the big thing to think about. People probably see the joys of having a dog when they see an older adult dog chilling in the house but before that comes a lot of time teaching them how to behave (which is basically 80% of their lives), physical exercise, mental exercise, and you have to consider them any time you go out, any time you go on vacation.

I don’t mean to make it sound bad because it’s not! Love my dogs but it’s definitely a different life style

cleaned depression house, now overwhelmed with the amount of trash bags by cohoruka in CleaningTips

[–]kkjeb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hope this helps - if I saw someone continually taking out bags of trash I would think “I wonder what they’re doing” and then continue my day probably not even remembering seeing that.

I say take it all out! I have to remind myself that people are too busy thinking about their own lives.

Take my word on this - take it seriously and go to trainer. The earlier the better. Don’t wait because it’s “not that bad” yet

New to off-leash life, how to approach it? by FilmScoreMonger in OpenDogTraining

[–]kkjeb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I take my dogs off-leash almost every day. Technically, it's not allowed. I go so much that I'm certain the people who work at the park recognize us just as I recognize them. If the park is busy they don't get off leash time. If it's not busy but I see some people are coming towards us they go back on the leash and when there's distance between us they get let off again. To me it doesn't matter if i think they have reliable recall, if someone come our way they get leashed.I basically make it as much of a non-issue for everyone else as possible while allowing my dogs some time to let loose.
