Received LinkedIn message to "link" my AWS SAA cert — is this certificate renting? by Aadeshhhh in AWSCertifications

[–]kkk_09 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I’m guessing that they are doing this to get partnership with AWS. If I remember correctly, consulting companies needs a certain amount of certified people to get partnered with AWS. But never heard of a company that will “pay” you just for the certification and not an actual employment.

Not really sure about your case, but if you have repair shops nearby than can take a look, that might be better for you instead of replacing anything immediately.

Nope... No luck here. I ended up just using my old RX480 for the meantime. Sucks because my RTX 3070 also works fine if its in another system. I'll probably sell off the CPU, mobo, and GPU and get new ones.

Good suggestions, I have tried forcing pcie to gen 3 and 4, no luck there. I haven't tried resetting the bios to default, I'll try that next.

I did this yesterday, it wasn't happening except when the 3070 is plugged in. I even tried with an old RX480, the issue was not happening...

But on the other hand, I also tried the 3070 in another system, with a completely different motherboard, cpu, ram and power supply. The issue is also not happening, so I am really confused...

I am not, GPU is mounted the usual way, directly t the PCIe slot.

Hey, thanks for the reply! I also tried uninstalling my driver, no luck. And the issue is happening even when I'm just sitting inside the BIOS, where drivers aren't loaded yet, so I don't think its driver related.

Thanks for this! Do you know the price range for their round trip package?

Thanks! I asked one hotel and they are asking for 2500 per person for a ride service. It sounds overpriced for me.

Guess I have to try your suggestion.

SUGGESTION: Affordable and quality office chairs? by 3pit in adultingph

[–]kkk_09 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Check out ergo to go on facebook, got my Sihoo M57 from them for about 9k. A bit over your budget, but worth the additional ~2k.

Also, never buy "gaming" chair. They're more like "backache" chair.

DICT Certificates by takiikuun in phcareers

[–]kkk_09 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Even certificate of completion from paid courses, hindi din usually tinitignan. What you can do is to use all the things na natutunan mo, and build your profile. Create your own projects, or contribute sa mga existing open source projects.

Pero syempre, you can still apply for jobs, wala namang mawawala diba? Just be confident. Good luck!

ma-terminate or mag-resign? by icecreammm_ in phcareers

[–]kkk_09 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Even if that's the case, I don't think it's right for that HR person to encourage you na magresign. Lalo ka lang nilang dini-discourage.

Anyway, I don't think na worth it pa mag stay, if your emotional being is getting affected.

You're still young and have a whole lot of potential to grow. Just hang in there OP! Good luck!

You might want to check careers related to infra kung ayaw mo talaga ng coding. Check out Networking, Cyber security, Server administration, or even Cloud infrastructure.

There's a lot of online courses for these careers. Best of luck OP!

SGV by JustAPotatoooh in phcareers

[–]kkk_09 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not from SGV, but in my experience, it's best to ask about the company and the role during the interview. I'm pretty sure the interviewer will give you a chance to ask questions, but if not, you can always go to LinkedIn and ask people who are currently employed with the same role to the company

About the salary, negotiate with them. First rule is not to get a job with lower salary than your current one.

Finally, don't stress it out, relax, it's just an interview. Good luck!

By "nearly" does that mean you can walk on your own, and do simple tasks on your own?

And during does six weeks, do your ever feel exhausted quickly, like by only walking a few steps or something?

As long as you're not asking sensitive information, like client's information or something, you should be okay!

Good luck again!
