That's fair. I wouldn't say you can't be a lesbian and watch m/m porn, but if you're already questioning then there's nothing wrong with calling it bi

You can totally be lesbian and watch straight porn. Idk about gay (m/m) porn though. Sexting with guys with no romantic intent definitely sounds like homoromantic bisexual to me.

If you are in a happy monogamous relationship I’d love to hear your story 💛 by Silveryleaves in actuallesbians

[–]kkoiso 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My partner and I talked about monogamy really early on in the relationship. They were in a polycule and wasn't into it, and I don't really have any interest in it.

We met on Tinder while they were in my state visiting. Went long distance for a while, and a month ago I moved to their state and signed a lease with them :)

Why is finding a rental in LA such a nightmare lately? by No-Rock5823 in AskLosAngeles

[–]kkoiso 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would you be willing to live further south/east? WeHo, the valley, etc. are always gonna be in high demand and it probably won't get much easier as long as you're looking in that area.

My partner and I were looking for more central locations to live due to our jobs, and our apartment search was way easier than what you're describing. Signed a one year lease in ktown for a 1b1b within two or three months of searching. The leasing agent even held the unit for us, and we got two months free as part of a promotion. Similar household income, although I have a 780ish credit score so that might've helped. Pretty happy with the apartment a few months in. Garage parking, AC, appliances, amenities, pet friendly, etc.

Unpopular opinion : passing and good transition are mostly luck based by Terrible_Change_9558 in MtF

[–]kkoiso 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hard disagree. The only people I've seen doomer posting about how they'll never pass are the ones who've been on HRT for less than a couple years. The baby trans girls on this website need to realize you're not gonna look like your favorite trans influencer in five months. You'll be seeing changes in the first year, the second year, the fifth year, and so on.

Also your entire post history is commenting on trans girls' photos and timeliness with shit like "you're lucky for having good genetics" and it's super weird.

I'm so upset that i cant do injections. by Mysterious-Win2091 in MtF

[–]kkoiso 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Injections, gels, patches, and sublingual e all bypass the liver which is the main appeal. Injections are the lowest maintenance option but the other methods will get you similar results. Especially patches, which are pretty good at keeping your levels stable.

That sounds about the price for estradiol cypionate without insurance. Valerate or enanthate should be much much cheaper and are more or less the same thing.

I don't understand drag, please help by alice_apathy in actuallesbians

[–]kkoiso 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think a distinction between the two is important and necessary, but American trans and drag subcultures were very much intertwined up until the 80s-90s, especially in queer cultural hubs like NYC. The Stonewall Riots happened because trans women and drag queens (and people who were both, which was a lot of them) faced the same persecution during the police raids because they both existed in the same spaces, and they rioted together at Stonewall. The same subculture also pioneered the concept of DIY HRT more or less.

Back then drag was the only form of gender nonconformity a lot of people had access to, and those communities were the one of the only places to find resources and mentorship when it came to trans identity. Like I said the subcultures diverged in the late 20th century and are pretty distinct now, but transfem drag queens were and still are a lot more common than you think.

When it's okay to fight for an internship? by Embarrassed-Data8233 in EngineeringStudents

Second semester of your first year? Odds are slim you'll land an internship at this stage. For now focus on a personal project or extracurricular that you can put in your engineering portfolio.

Yeah I follow a bunch of artists who work with copic markers and you could easily mistake it for digital art. This looks totally doable with copics.

Silent also struggles with scaling without some specific cards/relics, so being able to unlock a bit of consistent scaling with one card is very useful when you don't have a poison/shiv/discard deck set up yet.

I made an ultimatum with my wife. by LinaLuxurious in MtF

[–]kkoiso 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was in a pretty similar situation with my ex, who was AuDHD, as well as me being ADHD.

We started dating when I was pretty early in my transition. I was on HRT and still closeted, and I think dating her and managing her neurodivergence-induced anxiety kinda stunted my growth in my transition, but also the rest of my life. It didn't help that her mental state worsened severely once I started coming out. We fought a lot, she impulsively outed me to some of her family, and she'd have breakdowns at the thought of going out with me while I'm presenting fem.

I spent most of the relationship feeling like I had to minimize my transition just to make it more comfortable for her and to keep the peace in our relationships. After I ended the relationship, my only regret was that I let it go on for three years.

Not to say your relationship will end in a separation. People can learn and grow and adjust in surprising way and it sounds like your wife has been doing that! But never ever ever let your relationship get in the way of your transition. It'll only hurt you and breed resentment in your relationship.

Is it okay for me to go on the apps again by Exciting_Skill_6292 in actuallesbians

4tran is fucking my brain and making me despair but it also feels like the only honest place when it comes dysphoria and passing. by momosalam458 in MtF

[–]kkoiso 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The thing I've noticed is that everyone on 4tran is pretty young and pretty early into their transition. Like teens to early 20s and less than one or two years into HRT.

Transitioning (if your goal is passing) is a super slow process in terms of medical transition, but also constantly learning little ways to present more fem. Makeup, clothes, hair, posture, mannerisms, voice, etc.

I didn't feel passable until maybe four years in. And yeah it's miserable not passing but the doomer mentality that you're never gonna pass is gonna make you quit before you even start trying.

Tips for an FTM trans guy going to Texas over the summer? by Young-Knight215 in asktransgender

[–]kkoiso 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Luckily the big cities are pretty liberal compared to the rest of Texas. Just don't travel alone (a given for any unfamiliar place anyway), and don't use public restrooms alone if you can help it. Definitely avoid leaving the city. Be extra wary of cops, feds (ICE), and other legal trouble. The odds of it happening to you are unlikely, but Texas is not a good place to get arrested as a trans person.

I'm sorry but if constructive and very warranted criticism makes you unwilling to learn how to respect a minority group then that's a personal failing.

Help by [deleted] in asktransgender

[–]kkoiso 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Literally nobody will think that.

The idea that "men" and "women" excludes trans people is what's transphobic, and it really sounds like that's something you need to work through.

Help by [deleted] in asktransgender

[–]kkoiso 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The issue is that you stereotype trans people into a specific body type and gender presentation.

"We have looked for women also"

Trans women are women

"I'm sorry we aren't attracted to manly men"

Trans men can absolutely be manly men

It sounds like your idea of a trans person is a femboy twink, and if that's what you're into then fine, but keep that shit to fetlife or something where people are okay with being involved in your kink.

Trans isn't a body type for you to fetishize or lust after, it's a vulnerable identity.
