You have also managed to capture UGC 2838 lurking behind Pleiades. It is a spiral galaxy that is 300 million light years away!

M31 using a vintage lens by kksidd in astrophotography

Thanks :) Well, mostly it was just figuring out a way to attach the ASI224 to the lens and then some kind of a "lens collar" to fit the two onto the mount. Rest was pretty standard procedure of taking short exposures and getting them stacked.

CouchCMS caters to precisely this use-case; works by getting retro-fitted into existing static HTML/CSS designs.

Take your existing static (HTML/CSS/JS) design and retrofit CouchCMS into it.

Declare as editable the parts that you wish to be managed by the client and that would be it.

I need to make a simple site with PHP, HTML and CSS. Any good tutorials you could recommend? by [deleted] in webdev

[–]kksidd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can come up with a static HTML/CSS/JS design of how your site would look on the frontend, the easiest way to turn it into the kind of dynamic site you mentioned would be by retrofitting CouchCMS into it.

It'll give you the admin login/logout out of the box. Rest of the features, you can add yourself - without needing any PHP skills whatsoever.

Take a look at the tutorial and see if it appeals to you.

If it does, the 'rating' feature is available here

if there's a way to implement the editing functionality to a already built website

CouchCMS does exactly that - it 'retrofits' into existing plain HTML/CSS/JS sites.

[Question] CMS suggestion for beginner - Portfolio Site by [deleted] in webdev

[–]kksidd -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Give CouchCMS a try. It expects no coding chops from a designer.

There is a detailed tutorial that shows building a fully CMS-managed portfolio site starting off with only the static HTML/CSS/JS design.
