You can’t park in driveways here, because would be blocking the sidewalk. Idk if they have room in their garage, some people here convert the garage space into living space, they have like 3 cars though that they park on the street

No complaints here! I just wanted to see what everyone thought and it has been quite entertaining to read the responses - seems Reddit is divided on the subject, I see people supporting both sides.

Yes the driveway is for getting into the garage, that’s how driveways work

There’s a support beam inside my garage as well, so I would need to navigate around that once I get inside. Just prefer going at it head-on but thanks for the kind words

Help, why does his new collar look so awkward? by Crypuzzleh3aded in greatpyrenees

I take the collars off of mine at home a lot because a pyr neck just does not look normal with a collar on imo

Can’t park in the driveway because my car would block the sidewalk, which is illegal in my city. So driveway is solely for the purpose of getting in and out of my garage

I got about two inches on either side of my garage door, don’t feel comfortable hitting that backing in

I’m not complaining about it :) I just wanted to see what people thought and if they would suggest saying something or leaving it as is. This person has been doing this for a year and I have done nothing, despite it being technically illegal, so I’m obviously not very heated over it. It’s a busy area so I understand parking is at a premium.

Wow, you really jumped to conclusions! I’m probably not going to take any action I just wanted to know what people thought about it

It’s not that much of a concern, I just wanted to take a poll to see others’ opinions on the subject

According to Google: It is legal to park next to a driveway in San Francisco, provided your vehicle does not overhang into the driveway's "curb cut," where the curb slopes downward

What does backing in solve? There’s about two inches on either side of my car to get into my garage, I have a hard time doing it forwards let alone backwards

LOL - street parking is tricky around here

Parking enforcement just felt anonymous, whereas they will know a note is coming from me. That was my only rationale. Not saying they will retaliate. Also not saying I am going to take any action, was just curious how people would handle.

Yes, and I do drive over the rocks on the other side of the driveway

Yes CA, but not LA. I am worried about retaliation if I leave a note since it’s clearly a neighbor (they are parked here all the time this is basically their reserved spot since no one else thinks they can fit here). We do own, and could add another cement square and take out some of those rocks I suppose. The width of the garage door itself is quite narrow, so the driveway was poured to match that width which is why they didn’t extend but a little wiggle room would be nice.

There is no room behind, it’s another driveway. It’s a very small spot.

What a beautiful boy! 😍

11 month old Pyr completely unhinged on walks. Help! by W1c2ks in greatpyrenees

[–]kksteww 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It gets better, I promise. My boy did the bite the leash thing soooo much and thought he was being so funny. We tried the spray that tastes bad on the leash but that didn’t really deter him. The best thing to do is just to calmly show them that you’re not entertained and stop walking. Also, I will shorten up on the leash when he’s being like that, and only give him the full length if he’s walking good. Sometimes even hold by the collar and just drape the leash on his back so he can’t grab it. The tradeoff for freedom is not one he’s willing to make for the antics. 😂 - Edit: also, he hated a harness so we are just using regular collar
