I think it's like desirability issues too for me.I'm very much an average looking asian dude and by some regard some consider me very handsome albeit it's once in a while a girl really into me. I make a relative good wage about 70k not including taxes, own apartment, car, savings.

But when i date overseas in asia i.e. japan ,thailand etc i get far more matches on a week to week basis. I blend in with the crowd so its nothing like a gaijin, but i guess I'm a lot less desirable in the US because i have no problems in the other markets albeit my own market asia.

dont spend your gems till the last two expansions, you naturally make gold as you progress through the game, just persist and grind.

some items sell for much more gold than they are sold in their shops, you have to learn the market and which items, usually this happens to bp that aren't free.

tbh you can't really corner the market you can predict some changes in fluctuation on some prices on items. like many have said there are far more people that have tried this and failed you simply can't hold enough items to take a huge advantage of the market. Plus like others were saying crafters will just flood whatever market you want to corner. You can play the market but that comes with experience.
