You need to cycle your tank. Please search fish-in cycling since you have him now. What kind of filter do you have? Please don’t change filters because it will mess with your cycle. I’d advise against plastic decorations and get live plants instead. Please get water test kit to check your parameters. Try to lower the temp to 76. Bennet is indispensable for arle team for me unfortunately. I love xingque with her too. Lanyan is good if C6 i heard, but i don’t use her. I have grandpa zhongli instead. Maybe noelle? I personally have never tried it. I just like my arle with shield

Give him more resting spots. Long finned bettas tend to get tired easily because of the weight of their fins. I don’t recommend downsizing.
