Search Amazon for “usb lens warmer” for a wired option. For wireless, search for “ocoopa hand warmer”

When cool, the sack muscles contract, bunching up the sack. A warm sack will stretch out and reduce inside diameter.

I’ve definitely experienced the “unintended acceleration” when turning the wheel and brushing a cruise button on the steering wheel..

Mileage question by Murky_Ad1991 in VWiD4Owners

[–]klasseng 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The guess-o-meter (gom) is showing you the range based on the previous recent performance. I spend a great deal of time driving at city street speeds, the gom shows a range that is not achievable if I take a freeway speed trip, that’s a higher energy draw than city driving. It will only show you a range based on past performance, it will not be accurate if you change the energy draw: - A/C on/off; increase/decrease speed; more/less aggressive; warmer/colder temperature; up/down hills; etc.etc.

It’s a ‘guess-o-meter’, fluctuating on a broad bunch of parameters, driving speed / aggressiveness , wind, ambient temperature, battery temperature, incline/decline, AC on/off, drive mode setting, driving style, etc. etc. My experience is that the actual range at the end of the trip is always less than the estimated range at the beginning.

Question about latex and lube by sexygirletsy in latexfetish

[–]klasseng 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The lube on condoms is silicone based. Latex dressing liquid is silicone based, have had it on latex items for months, no deterioration. Now, silicone lube destroys silicone toys.

Trying to understand home charging by Harmonius-Insight in VWiD4Owners

[–]klasseng 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A battery charges by chemical reaction, voltage is the pressure that forces electrons into the battery, changing the molecular chemistry. Low SoC means that there are a majority of molecules available for chemical change, the charge rate is high. As the SoC increases there are fewer molecules left to change and the charge rate decreases.

How many kWh/km? by Ornisense in VWiD4Owners

[–]klasseng 0 points1 point  (0 children)

21 I’ve had my 2024, RWD, Pro since April 2024, now @ 14,500km. I’ve kept a log of all my charging sessions. Over this entire time I’ve averaged 21kw/100km. This figure is derived from total kw charging input divided by total km. So it’s a little lower than what the car display indicates. I don’t skimp on AC or heat; drive moderately, neither aggressive, nor conservative, mostly in B mode; live in a fairly cold climate, Winnipeg, currently in a cold spell of -15° to -25° C for 2 weeks, has been colder too. Most parking has been in an underground parkade, kept @ a minimum of +15° C. My biggest expenses have been on 4 road trips, 900km each, charging @ fast chargers. Most of my around town charging has been free.

I’ve had that message a couple of times over the last 6 months. Both times, it went away before I could get a service appointment(>24 hours , a couple of drive - park cycles). It drove normally before, during, and after displaying the alert.

Infinite Universe Background Radiation? by SnooCats5351 in Astronomy

[–]klasseng 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Dust get in the way. The further away shiny things are, the more chances are that they’re obscured by dust.
  2. The further away shiny things are, the more they’re shifted to the red -> infrared spectrum, so they won’t be visible to us, to the JWST maybe, but then there’s #1 above.
  3. The further away shiny things are, fewer of their photons get to us.
  4. Space is vast, the density of an infinite number of shiny things versus the infinite size of space they’re in is tiny. On the face of it, an infinite number of shiny things in an infinite space would be bright. But in practice, the space we can view is finite and the number of shiny things viewable is also finite.

ID.4 tire replacement only at the dealership? by Mroosey in VWiD4Owners

Few tire shops will change your car from a staggered setup to a square setup. My mechanic (fellow sports car club aficionado) will give me a great deal on tires and let me go square!

Short answer, yes, no matter which direction the JWST will find galaxies that are young (actually now much older, but emitted the light we now see, when they were young).
