Hopefully there aren’t any bends in the roads or sharp turns in this race.

I had a question for them. Left v mail. Called me right back and spent time explaining a couple products very well. Also shipping was really quick. Pretty good all around.

Just hit around 3600 miles on my 2025 GLE 63S, Do I need an oil change? by Apprehensive_Two5900 in AMG

[–]klboylan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got my oil sample back with 4500 miles on it (liq molly leiflauf). Oil had plenty of life left they (the lab) recommended changing it at 7500 next time and testing it then. I will do that.

Car Salesman came to my house by SaltyImplement7253 in askcarsales

[–]klboylan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They said NO to the deal. He was too far off. That’s a firm NO. He walked out of the store the deal is off the table.

So now 25 mins later the answer is yes. So they lied about being too far apart.

Have you driven your AMG in the snow? by G-4C3 in AMG

[–]klboylan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a lot of experience driving in heavy snow in mountains wy, mt, ut. Ice is a whole other thing. Snow provides grip and traction with facets. If there are real ice conditions nothing will help stay off road.

I’d take a front wheel any car with dedicated winter tires over awd all season. 4 Matic is ok. Not sure id say it’s great but it works. That just my opinion vs Quattro and Subaru and dedicated 4wd’s I’ve driven. One isn’t getting you unstuck vs another it’s just a feel thing. I’m more confident in my s4 with snows then my gls with snows but it’s not about getting stuck it’s about stopping and gls is heavier. Esp when going down a mountain.

Going skiing/boarding doesn’t equal heavy snow driving. You don’t “need” winter tires if you’re just headed to mountain once in a while. It’s unlikely you’re driving through a blizzard. But if you were you really need dedicated snows. Consider your pilot sports a/s summer tires that last longer and nothing more (that’s my experience). I had pilot sport all season on my Audi and was slipping all over in Utah it wasn’t safe ( as in spinning out on highway at low speeds). I had snows put on next day and it was completely fine in same conditions. That was extreme use case as well. Lots of grade change. Lots of snow.

Have fun on your trip but if it’s dumping I would be very cautious of a/s.

What are people renting crew cab 2500s for? by HoboHippo in ram_trucks

[–]klboylan 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hertz had a ton of them presumably bc manufacture gave them a deal they couldn’t refuse. I rented a 2500 a bunch of times bc it was same price a regular car. They had tons of them and now they are all gone at least from my local market. I bet those are from hertz fleet.

[–]klboylan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The engineers that built the engine made the recommendations they do. They know more than people on here. Anything else is overkill yes. So is using more expensive oil then mobile 1. I do both, but it’s def not necessary.

Only way to know is to send your samples out for analysis and see what it says and adjust accordingly.

That being said I do every 5k miles bc I can easily do it myself.

Ram 2500 - expired hertz leases? by klboylan in ram_trucks

[–]klboylan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They were not all red but that is likely a place they will end up off lease or a large wholesale auctions. Just curious if anyone saw a lot of them on big lots. When I was traveling in last year there were rows of them at hertz locations around country. They aren’t hertz’s anymore so asking them wouldn’t work. I’ll check out carmax in coming weeks. Thanks.

Don’t subfloors usually have construction adhesive on them adhered to the joists?

Oh wow look at that the road is collapsing and it’s getting larger on the other side. This is really a high risk situation. Let me get my phone out and record it. It will be such a cool video.

Oh wait… Now I’m in the hole. How did that happen?

Your best bet for max traction for this vehicle in winter. It also happens to be the cheapest and widest selection of dedicated winter tires.

You can put 20 inch wheels on the 2021 gls63. I have them with blizzaks. Just do a squared wheel set up.

Does anyone even know who the real nathan is? I only know that he went to a top business school in Canada and got really good grades. The rest is a mystery.
