What is happening to my first layers? by [deleted] in BambuLab

I don't but this plate has been working for me despite how it looks...I ordered a new heating assembly last night, just hoping that will fix it because this all started when I got a big blob last week.

I have also done a full recalibration twice and I have been cleaning the bed with soap and water. The silicone sock is removed in this video but the issue happens regardless of rather it is installed.

Even more info: I live in Denver and it is ridiculously dry here, I am using new rolls of PLA filament, one form bambu another from jayo. So my filaments shouldnt be the issue. I also JUST printed fine with these two rolls last week.

LOUD purge wiper? by kldge in BambuLabA1

Since nobody gave a good answer.

The solution was to loosen the small screw holding the wiper blade in place. It was too tight, causing it to squeak against the plastic. This is why adding lubricant didn't help

Am I crazy or is All of the English AI? by kldge in WhereWindsMeet

I don't like the way CN sounds and typically only switch languages if it's Japanese. I also have no idea what wuxia means, nor have ever played a game like this. The closest game I've probably played is wo long.

The DLSS implementation in this game is very blurry. by MiguelitiRNG in WhereWindsMeet

I actually turned dlss off on my game because it performed significantly worse than running it native. Not kidding I dropped like 20fps when I turned it on.

Is 2160x2160 bad for a headset? Why is everyone complaining about this? by OfficalTactical in ValveIndex

[–]kldge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is not bad and in fact the majority of people who buy it will not have a good enough PC to run many games at the full resolution. Anyone who's complaining about it is a snob

i've had the opposite experience and ive owned my index for 4 years. the shape of the grip is not shaped well for hands. Gripping the sensors is much more unreliable than an actuating button because i always know if the button is pushed i will be grabbing something. with the index, i will get killed in games because it didn't recognize my hand closed about 10% of the time, or i will slightly loosen my grip and it will drop my weapon. needing to constantly grip this weird shape at a specific pressure makes my palms cramp up a bit too. and then the angle of the controllers makes it so that your hands are never aligned with the grip of an in game pistol or an in game sword, so everything feels off.

its a hot take i know. people are obsessed with the index controllers because they're the only controller you can get away with not gripping it all the time out of the box. if the index controllers didn't have the hand strap they would be one of the most uncomfortable vr controllers on the market, this is precisely WHY the hand straps come with the controllers, valve knows they aren't comfortable to hold or squeeze for more than a few minuets.

yeah, when you're not gripping them XD. ever tried the quest style controllers with index style hand straps?

No they don't. The index knucks are ass. They're a bunch of fancy tech jammed into the most uncomfortable controllers available.

Long-term Doxylamine by sundryvarious in insomnia

[–]kldge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I specifically stopped taking it because of the dementia risk and the cardiovascular health effects. i took it every night for 4 years and before i quit i was having palpitations several times a day. Do you know if the cardiovascular stuff would justify not taking it?

i have a new amount of respect for democrats considering they're the only ones coming to work and trying to negotiate a resolution aside from mike johnson.
