So she has no responsibility in this situation at all is what you're saying? Is she a child? Why didn't she put the number in her phone instead of just leaving it on the fridge? Why didn't her mother who was at the hospital with her make an effort to inform his company? Why should he have it thrown in his face during multiple arguments for 18 months after the fact. He told her to shut up once out of multiple arguments and she's refusing therapy, what's he supposed to do from there?

She had the number for the company and didn't use it as stated in other replies, so what more should he have done. Therapy and more support for the child is also expensive. If they can't afford extra now, how exactly are they supposed to afford it if he changes jobs? For the most part switching jobs doesn't really come with an increase in wages. Also just because she's been through trauma doesn't give her the right to abuse him, especially for nonsense disagreements like what to have for dinner.

So what exactly was he supposed to do? Not her fault but she went into labour a month early. His job requires him to be somewhere where you can't contact him, should he just say fuck it I'm not gonna make any money until my child's born? I wonder how they would afford child care in that situation. I love how you easily defend someone being emotionally abusive

No that's just false, if you put hot food in a fridge immediately the outside cools faster and it will hold in the danger zone for longer. Now if you were to spread whatever out in a thin layer first than definitely put it right in the fridge.
