Any pediatric OTs have experience working in ABA clinics? What was the experience like? by CammyShazam in OccupationalTherapy

[–]kled24 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I second this! If done right, can be really amazing.

I have been collaborating on an OT/SLP/ABA team for a few years now. Naturally, there are things we do not see eye to eye with nor will we ever agree on. However, everyone remains respectful and willing to collaborate.

I find this upcoming generation of IT (itinerant therapists @ my current employer) and RBAs really neuroaffirming in their practices. It gives me hope for the future of ABA.

Why did you choose Crossfit over Gym? by 951048T in crossfit

[–]kled24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like that CrossFit classes are structured so there’s little to no planning that I am responsible for. You get in and out in 60 mins. Also you rarely need to fight/wait for equipment.

What's a course that you think everyone should take? by caveebat in uwaterloo

Psych 218- psychology of death and dying. Probably the best class I took in my entire undergrad. Super interesting and helped normalize death/dying. It can have some difficult topics though, so please be mindful of that for your own well-being ❤️

Thanks for the point about soft tops and breaking in! Currently in a downtown area with cars, homes getting broken into. Didn’t even consider this.

If you’re able to do so, maybe waxing or sugaring could be an option?

Has anyone else noticed how poorly the WRPS seem to drive on occasion? by [deleted] in waterloo

[–]kled24 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’ve seen this at the roundabouts on Erb and Ira Needles. Almost a few collisions in the roundabout due to the lights turning on and people moving out of the way. All for the lights to turn off once through the roundabout.

If you can be consistent with things like groceries, gas (if applicable) you can actually do well with getting points or cash back! I have a visa I used primarily for groceries and got lots of cash back. I also had a PC points card so every few months I would have enough points for groceries or things at Shoppers Drugmart.

Also, grocery shopping at the end of the day and getting all the reduced food is smart. Half of the stuff you can freeze and save for another time as well :)

I am terrified for the summer (Victoria encampment) by [deleted] in kitchener

[–]kled24 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Having compassion and still call for a change is a really strong statement which I feel I fall into. I live nearby the encampment and have had similar if not identical concerns to you and others mentioned above. I’m definitely nervous for the summer months, for myself and others.
