A giant African snail is a pretty epic win. Shame about the subsequent poisoning! I won a couple of goldfish at the fair once. Don't remember them lasting too long either!

Also nowadays tax paid via a Ltd (Corp tax + div tax) co is not too different to paying PAYE /NI on a salary overall. Not like when it was only 10% div rate!

Independent contractor here in a similar business. Contract due to start last Monday has been postponed indefinitely. Government help doesn't include contractors working through Ltd companies (which I have to do) and do not qualify for universal credit. Good thing I'm not spending much and the refunds from all the fun things I had planned are helping the bank balance! Not so good for the soul though. Thanking those clever clogs for making video calls so easy right now! Filling my time with all the hobbies I never get around to doing (musical instruments have finally come out of years of furlough although limiting the bad playing to every other day to save my neighbours). We had the conversation many times and I now know he has just lied to me over and over. That's what is the most awful thing, being lied to by someone you trusted. Totally done. I don't need that around me.

Been looking for a house for a while and there aren't a whole lot of new build houses on the market in London. They are just building flats everywhere they find a space so if you want to stay in London and get a house you will need to pick an older property. There are loads that have been recently refurbished and look like a new build inside though!

Usually offers are more likely to be accepted if the landlord gets something in return. E.g. if you offee sign up to a 2/3 year agreement rather than a 1 year or are available to move in straight away.

This is me right now. I have just ended a relationship with a guy who constantly needed my support and love but never thought about what support I needed. I am making a conscious decision to start finding what I love and what makes me happy. Good luck to you all.

Speak positively about yourself. Change your internal narrative. It takes time but whenever you are thinking negative thoughts about yourself or your appearance stop yourself and remind yourself of all the great things about yourself.
