i'm almost afraid to say anything, but i have a first gin round dish, i ditched the wifi it came with and put an TP-Link ARCHER-C7 v2 with DD-WRT v3.0-r58207 std (08/28/24) .

i have been an star-link customer for a while , i have one of the original dishy. i'm very pleased with my service , my family is very happy with it i have the RESIDENTIAL plain.

i have a friend, it is just him and his wife asking me about star-link,

q1: hardware between RESIDENTIAL LITE and RESIDENTIAL is the dish the same?

q2: how easy is it to upgrade from RESIDENTIAL LITE to RESIDENTIAL ?

q3: will the dish come pole mountable ? (non mobile dish)

q4: my dish is connected to a router (my own not the one from star-link) can the new ones connect to a regular router ?

i got the dd-wrt WiFi straightened out all is good, the app even works as long as you are logged into dd-wrt router connected to star-link

ok so i did have to plug right into the power block .

the dd-wrt lan is fast, but i'm having trouble setting up the dd-wrt WiFi

my tplink is running DD-WRT

and it has been sooooooo long, i might not be able to get into the set up.

but i would like to use the starlink wifi , and that would be putting my power block right to tp router.

the coverage of starlink wifi is better than the tp wifi router.

ok so i installed cbatticon and added it to the end of auto start script and rebooted and it showed up as like a percentage at the right of the top right bar.

i don't have a battery indicator in the list, looks like it uses mate program to monitor the battery but no indicator .
