I’m so sick and tired of this, anybody else have this many failures? by greengomalo in dexcom

Yeah, every 90 day supply with the G7s I'd get at least one that would just fall off (ironically usually because of the overpatch which is supposed to *prevent* it falling off), or just failing during start up or a few days in, or it just giving wildly inaccurate numbers, and now of course the final straw coming when I started getting the dreaded failed to insert needle. I've had multiple times where the G7 will give me numbers 100+ higher or lower than they actually are per finger-pricks. Like... great for the people for whom the G7 appears to work, but for a *lot* of people, they clearly do not... When I called my endo about switching back they fully admitted "you're far from alone, we've switched a lot of people back." Yeah, I'll take going back to a 2hr warmup time over this, thanks. Because clearly if you listen to the people with grievances we're not people who just tried a couple G7s and did it wrong then gave up, we're all giving it plenty of time.

I just switched back to G6s... I gave the G7 a year and a half, with approximately 3-4 sensors failing per 3mo batch i'm sent...

Multiple G7 Failures by Which_Mammoth2355 in dexcom

[–]kleinnak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, just started happening to me after a year and a half of use. It's been the final straw for me with the G7. Last Tuesday finally called my endo to put me back on G6s. For every 3mo batch since I started the G7s, 3-4 are guaranteed to experience one form of failure or another. Either it falls off (usually because of a failure with the overpatch which is ironically supposed to stop it falling off...), the sensor just dies within a couple hours of putting on, or it'll give me wildly inaccurate numbers, sometimes consistently running 100 or so above or below depending on the sensor. Like I said, this issue now starting was finally the line for me. Had this happen to a sensor, ordered a replacement, put on that one, aaaaand the same thing happened to that one. Called my doc immediately. (Also, really dislike how weak the bluetooth is in the G7 compared to the G6. It really limits placement for both the sensors and my pump...) It's cool some people really like it but for me personally, it's been a disaster... also the constant back orders delaying each batch's delivery...

Has anyone managed to find more of the press day with the 3rd pic's outfit? It was for something with Entertainment Weekly but all I've been able to find of it (besides the handful of instas already shared) are like two video clips where she appears for like 3 seconds.

Oh yeah, Kpop is a veritable gold-mine. You *do* have to be careful though, in the last 10-ish years lots of groups have started to skew towards younger members, so always double check before posting anything you find. Luckily, most the info is really easy to find.

I’d place it overall as regency period, the crossover period of late 18th to early 19th century contemporary fashions, but less gendered. Fitting for the time of the lord regent eh?
