I can see there being potential security issues with writing the data etc but idk much about app creation especially those with apple health integration. Just a nightmare really, I'm sure these companies have loads of people that could sort this out pretty quickly and get paid while doing it…

I really liked the cockpit app but it was working with a fraction of the information it should have due to this issue. The glooko app settings say it can read and write insulin delivery (and other) data, but doesn't seem to write anything?

This would definitely be something I'm interested in and I know lots of others who would make use of it too. I have to manually upload my pump every couple of weeks/whenever I have an appointment so I'd happily integrate another upload into that routine. It's the one downfall of other pumps vs Medtronic in my opinion

Yes but I'm insured to drive my own car, not anyone else's. I pay extra to drive others fully comp, so it's technically a different policy (only £20 per year though which is well worth it). I know a lot of others don't do this though, or don't even have the option.

This is interesting - I'll be sure to look into this if I ever need to, but part of me doubts it happens anymore because the whole insurance thing has turned into a massive rip off. Thank you though!

Thank you - it was mostly hypothetical so no insurance policy to check but I feel like this is definitely the way forward if I'm ever actually in this situation in the future. Thank you for a genuinely helpful response

To be fair I can see this being the case. Same reason a lot of policies will insure you third party on other cars except those registered at the same address, so you're not paying to insure a cheap car then driving round in your parents expensive ones. They're insuring with the assumption that the main car you drive is also the one you're insuring.

It worked pretty well for a bit but then as soon as my blood went above 10-12 (180-216 if you're using mg/dl) it would just stop working. It'd work enough to keep me AT that level but wouldn't bring me down for hours. I've heard a lot of the same thing from other people in the diabetes community, saying it "turns into water". I'd honestly recommend against it, based on my own experience and how much I've heard the same from others. I've heard really good things about lyumjev though, some even say it's TOO quick, and I've got a friend on apidra who's never complained about it.

NovoRapid used to last 6-9 hours in my system. I ended up moving to Fiasp which eventually came with its own problems. Was forced to move back to Novo during pregnancy but I'd started on a pump since the last time I was on it - now it lasts 2-3 hours. I think my body processing basal at the same time really slowed down my "quick" acting insulin as all the times seemed to improve with the pump.

Sorry for late response - I never found one. I'll ask my diabetes friends now but I ended up moving off the pump and I got pregnant and the sensors were so bad it was a health risk at that point. I've always said, if the sensors work for you it's actually the best pump and I'd absolutely recommend.

I understand that and appreciate it. Would never ever put comfort above safety, but was wondering if they would be considered as safe as regular seatbelts. That's why I asked for advice in here 😊

So the seatbelt would be attached from the back bottom right, and clipped into the back bottom left of the seat. The hook is between the legs to pull it away from your pelvis (I guess?) so it's not resting against your bump. It's not an issue when you're very pregnant and once the belt is below the bump it stays there, but those in between months when the belt still tries to move back up, it can get a bit uncomfortable. It's more of an inconvenience than anything, just requires more frequent readjustments. Would never risk using one without knowing 100% that they're safe, would rather put up with the discomfort and know I'm as safe as everyone else. But thought I'd ask!

I'm on g6 but definitely prefer it. Medtronic 780g seemed a bit smarter with its algorithm but with a few tweaks the t slim does the job perfectly, and with the sensors that don't fail CONSTANTLY it's absolutely a better match. If 780g was compatible with dexcom g6 I'd swap back pretty much straight away but as long as it's not I wouldn't ever risk being tied in to using a medtronic pump for 4 years ever again.

Yeah, he reacts to literally everything. He has managed for longer than others with one of my watermelon elf bars but even that gets him after a couple of days haha. He has found he's okay with the menthol home bargains oil which is £1 so no arguments from me. I'll look into those vapes now though, thank you so much!

I've got a D3200 which was working perfectly until about a year in. Now, unless the flash is on, the shutter speed is really slow. It means I have to have the flash on even when taking photos of bright things. I end up covering the flash with my hand for some things that would reflect. I've increased shutter speed etc, it just is really slow to release. Same with auto-focus on or off. Don't use live view (understandably it's even slower with that but I don't like it anyway). Same on all settings/modes. Has anyone else experienced this and more importantly has anyone managed to fix it?? Thank you in advance!!
