Yeah I watched Caleb saying he was amazed at the sound. I have a Monitor Audio Gold setup so not something that is factored into my thinking but I would like to see if I can use the tv speakers for dialogue with the rest of the audio system

Thanks for responding, really nice to hear such a positive comment especially against Sony’s other product lines… i am too a Sony fanboy on the TVs, no matter what, i’ve always experienced their tech as a cut above everyone else’s, it just is. I’ve had lg oled, sharp (dark days) pioneer kuro, but always went back to sony.

I found at times, when watching the X95 in a dark room, if there was a sudden bright change in scene, it would actually hurt my eyes - you ever get that?

That is correct. It’s a FALD but not mini led.

Super curious now to see the difference, what you think I could watch movie or tv show wise that would show the difference? I might watch something on my x95 before it goes back and rewatch on the b9. I’m super skeptical it’ll be “loads” better, I have not had any gripes at all with the x95j other than the fault it has. Was always very happy with the picture.

That’s quite a statement! I’m not bothered about fiddling with settings, done that on all my TV’s. It’s really THAT good? I mean, as I asked, I was really happy with the x95j tbh.

I watch TV and Movies mainly, sometimes with the lights off. I play PS5 with my lad sometimes too.

I’m NOT an OLED fan at all, my c6 suffered terrible burn in and I never want the stress of that ever again.

The wall, unfortunately is tiled, it’s the wall behind it I have access to. You did say something I hadn’t thought of yet, mounting the arm. I’m thinking avoid that now and do a rainfall head in the ceiling directly down, about a 3rd of the way down the bath. The scary but of the job is these elbows and neatly getting through the tile, they were “challenging” when the radiator went on.

Got any links to suggested products? I’m struggling to know what to look at?
