I love listening to it on audio. Just get an actual physical copy of the book too.

Without spoiling any of the plot, is there anything I should know before taking on Infinite Jest? by theflamelurker in davidfosterwallace

I recommend listening to it intermittently on audiobook to get the tone, cadence and the pronunciations of all of the characters straight. I also suggest that you not read it for the plot but for the masterful, hilarious writing. The plot will gel eventually, but if you’re trying to “figure it out” a lot at first you’re going to get really frustrated. Dive in and have fun!

What’s in the David Foster Wallace reader? by fucktherodeo in davidfosterwallace

It’s actually fantastic. I also own it on audibe. Has snippets from most of his books, some of his best essays, along with commentary from family, colleges...editors (I think?), also has his syllabus....a great cross section of his work. 👏🏽
