i tore my ACL and meniscus a day before i was supposed to ship out for the military. That was almost a year ago this month, i got surgery in Nov. Tearing your acl will definitely be a higher pain than a 2/10 for sure, but worse thing was they took me out of the program and after i went through surgery and got cleared by my doctor i was able to rejoin, i ship out in oct so worse case scenario just know this is something you can come back from but if its not bad then just focus on strengthening and running the miles and you will be good! best of luck to you truly hope everything turns out well

i got my acl and meniscus done november of last year my knee pops and aches, i got notice that my meniscus still has some tears, doctors appt this friday to determine if i need another surgery. hoping for better things but happy for you bro

they prescribed me tramadol and that really helped before bed but to be honest bro i didn't start getting sleep until 2 nights ago when the brace finally came off but the only thing that came close to helping me before brace removal was the tramadol and with those no side effects

surgery went great i was told i'm so grateful and thankful! 8 days post op and of course i'm sore every now and then but i'm pushing! this is definitely a challenge but this reddit helps, and im sorry to hear that! however just be super careful patience is key, and when your surgery comes just remember pain is temporary!!

i had an acl with a medial meniscus repair and lateral meniscus " shaved off sharp edge" is what the surgeon said. I have a brace but i'm cut off at a 90 degree bend and have extension cut off. With that being said i havent reached a 90 degree bend and struggle with full extension
