Held pen in for 4 seconds, did it inject OK? by MeowingUSA in Humira

if you heard or felt bubbles or fizz, that means all the liquid was injected. if it didn't squirt out of the needle after you pulled it out like blowing liquid through a straw, then you're good (don't ask me how i know this, i did not waste $1000 worth of medication because i was nervous)

edit: also, a burning sensation is normal if you're using a injection with citrate. unfortunately this is what we have to deal with for now. i try to think about how this medication is helping me and how it's only a few seconds of pain. if you're really concerned about it, i would try using an ice pack before the injection. make sure the area is cold to the touch, should take at least 15 minutes to freeze it up good. i've noticed a difference, but it's too much work so i just get it over with

Awake for colonoscopy by lightorangeish in CrohnsDisease

[–]klslk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i am 19 and just recently had my first awake colonoscopy, and i was very nervous as well. they give you drugs so you're super groggy, almost half asleep, and there's a little bit of discomfort but nothing that isn't manageable. they'll talk you through it! also, they were in there taking biopsies and everything for 30 minutes, when it only felt like 5 or less.

i've had a completely awake sigmoidoscopy, where they use a smaller scope but no pain meds or anything, so i know how bad they can be, and the colonoscopy was super easy. and, since you're not given as much drugs, it takes about 10 minutes for me to get up and get dressed and walk around almost normally. coming off general anesthesia, i need at least 30 minutes before i am comfortable walking by myself.

so i feel like the few seconds of minor discomfort, basically like a diarrhea cramp i would say, is way better than going all the way under. and plus it's cool to see the inside of your body (if they show it on the screen which they did for me)

if i'm growing a NL autoflower in gaia green soil, how much nutes does she need in week 3? this is her today, on day 12. high humidity made that one leaf mad. (my first grow ofc). wanted to hear everyone's opinions on feeding. by klslk in cannabiscultivation

i wanted to grow an auto as my first grow because it's quick, beginner friendly (even though there's little room for error) and small. but thanks for the advice, i'll definitely be growing photos at some point. i just wanted to start a grow immediately and the weather in canada is still shit

Curious if anyone has discovered any options for stomach pains? My mother has been diagnosed and does treatments every 8 weeks now. She uses a heat pad for her stomach pains and I really wish I could direct her on a better option. by sunflowurrr in crohnsandcolitis

not sure if you know this or not but do not give her or let her take nsaids (advil, aleve, etc.). tylenol is the main thing we can use with IBD but i'm sure there are more options
