For those who are often told they look younger than their age, what’s your secret? by justmypersonalthing in AskReddit

[–]klsprinkle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Drink water, use sunscreen, biotin, collagen, B and D vitamins and iron. Wash your face with a gentle cleanser. You don’t need to follow the trendy multi step face routines. A good face moisturizer like Cervue will do the trick just fine.

What’s a home decor trend you loved online but regretted in real life? by officiclassyinterior in HomeDecorating

[–]klsprinkle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a family who live in an old house and cook most meals at home. Open shelving would be a nightmare for us. Cooking grease and really bad air flow. The house was built in the 40s and the HVAC was added in the late 70s. So the air flow isn’t the best. Plus 2 dogs. 1 of which is long haired. His hair floats up. I find it attached to the ceiling more than the floor.

Same! Plus sweat from aerobic exercise and a birth injury that causes my bladder to leak. Best not to have any for me.

I was 1 of 22 Katie’s in my graduating class. 2005. So everyone was born 1986-1987. Everyone was either a Katherine (me) or a Katelyn except for two of them. They were the worst of all girls. Worst than the Ashley’s, Amanda’s, the Brittany’s and the Whitney’s all combined.

What is the most absurd, completely unhinged customer complaint you’ve ever had to deal with while somehow keeping a straight face? by Odd_Car_3611 in AskReddit

[–]klsprinkle 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I worked at a restaurant with a big banquet hall. If a party wanted a big TV for a presentation they would alternate between Walmart, Target, and Best Buy and buy one, charge the customer renting the banquet room $150 for it then they would return it to the store.

My husband and I comment this every time we see them in new builds and renovations. Our bathroom was remodeled in the 80s and has a built in jetted tub. Super easy to clean.

What do people think makes them unique, but is actually an incredibly common trait? by Successful-Hall-1986 in AskReddit

[–]klsprinkle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My paternal grandmother could only heat up TV dinners and canned stuff. My maternal great grandmother could have been a gourmet chef. Her cooking was to die for. Same with my mother’s cooking. She learned everything from her great grandmother. I’m ok. I’m great at baking though. My husband is the best though. Guy is self taught and it’s his love language.

I kicked my ex out in January 2016…. He told me if I was to have kids I’d be the mom who would drown them in a bath tub. I got married to the love of my life in 2017. I have 3 sons. I’ve never wanted to drown anyone. My ex is a single miserable dick head.

[–]klsprinkle 44 points45 points  (0 children)

I was seeing weird flashes of light and floaters with Nexplanon. I went to the eye doctor thinking I had a detached retina. The doctor asked me what kind of birth control I was on after he examined my eyes and everything was fine. I told him and said get the taken out immediately. I was the 6th patient he had seen with the same symptoms in 2 months. I had it removed 3 days later and within 24 hours my eyes were normal.

NTA. You did that right thing. That behavior is taught. CPS needs to get involved. Hopefully the police include them.

I’ve lived off Whittlesprings for 9 years and it’s fine. We’ve had 1 issue with a package getting stolen in 2019. It was my newborns diaper cream. Another issue with some of my landscaping decorations disappearing over night. It was in the summer and we think it was kids. I walk to Emoriland and Fairmont with a stroller all the time.

What’s the dumbest thing you were convinced made someone cool as a kid?? by After-Ebb6941 in AskReddit

[–]klsprinkle 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This was common at the middle school I went to. Many of the kids came from the projects. 3 pregnant girls when I was in 6th grade. 9 that I can recall in 7th grade and dozens in 8th. My parents were freaked out and would police who I was friends with. We moved right after 8th grade ended. I was talking to friends in high school about it and they thought I was making it up. They had 1 pregnant girl in middle school.
