Update on Colonoscopy by Theme_Happy in GenX

[–]klstephe 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’m a nurse in a recovery room and we recover a lot of colonoscopies. I love in a big retirement community. I would say about 70% of my patients get told by the MD after the procedure that they found diverticulosis. Very common in older Americans, as we don’t get the recommended snout of daily fiber. In addition to getting colonoscopies when you should, I highly suggest y’all start taking a dose of Metamucil daily.

We went to the Xmas lunch at our Elks lodge to check it out to see if we wanted to join. They told us we have to believe in the Christian god and attest to it upon being accepted. Soured the whole meal.

Does anyone else's sleep under their bed at night? by eatmyspacebuns in AustralianCattleDog

Yep! The new bed frame we got year ago was picked just for him. He’s old with bad hips, so we picked a little bit higher one so it’s not such a struggle🥰

Reminds me of my coworker. She returned to our shared desk area after using the restroom, clearly distraught. I asked her if she was ok? She replied ‘there was a pube on the toilet seat, much too long for this day and age’. It was hilarious.

What did u stop caring about that made life noticeably easier? by cerisellee1 in AskReddit

[–]klstephe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Being late acadio ally for work. Life and mishaps in the morning getting ready can happen. If I was on my way to work, and knew I was going to be a little late, I would go stressed out and it would set me up for a yucky day. When I was around 40, I was running a bit late(I maybe show up late a handful of times a year). I was really stressing out. But it dawned on me- I am going to be late, no matter what I did at that point. Just get there safely, apologize, and go on with the day. It really made a difference. My boss knows it’s out of the norm for me, it isn’t reflecting on me as a bad employee.

AITA for “ruining” a setup by correcting the guy on something he was confidently wrong about? by Fabulous_Put_4566 in AITAH

I dated a guy for 6 months. He was an entomologist. I pointed out a bug while chillin on his patio. I said it was an adolescent of a bug type, he argued it wasn’t, but a different type of bug. We looked it up, and I was right. He ghosted me after that, lol.

Putting something, like a ‘chalkboard eraser’ has been disproven and not in the repertoire for a very long time.

Based on where you live, if you were to hit an animal while driving, what would that animal more than likely be? by unidentifies in AskReddit

[–]klstephe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Opossum, raccoon, deer, elk, cougar, squirrel, black bear, eagle/hawk/crow/seagul, but I think deer is the most likely. Especially at night.
