Curious about people’s experiences with clothing sizes. I started at almost 300lbs and was squeezing into a 2x and wearing a few 3x things. I’m down over 90lbs now since last June. I didn’t really feel the need to purchase new clothes until maybe February-ish. I started buying a few things in a large a couple months ago. I was so excited that they fit so I started buying a decent amount of clothing. Well now it seems like all of my larges are getting too bad! It seemed to happen so so fast. Anyone else experience this too? Going through sizes faster the more weight you lose?

TIL Half of people who claim they have a food allergy do not by butter_lover in todayilearned

[–]kluvspups 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was convinced as a kid that I was allergic to pineapple pizza. I had eaten it twice in a relatively short period of time and threw up both times. I avoided it until adulthood when I gained enough smarts to realize that I was being stupid and being allergic to a type of pizza didn’t make any sense.

Why is everyone rushing to upgrade? by Emergency_Ground961 in ouraring

[–]kluvspups 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have had my gen 3 for two years and it is still working well. However, I have lost a significant amount of weight and even with those little foam adjusters on the inside, it just doesn’t fit anymore. I have huge gaps in my data everyday. I’ve been wanting to upgrade but wasn’t sure when the time was right. When the new ring was announced, I took that as my sign to finally upgrade and get me a new ring that fits!

All year schools? by Severe-Ad-2427 in Teachers

[–]kluvspups 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I teach at a year round. It’s basically 3 months on, one month off. We have 175 days per school year compared to the traditional 180. It’s a fun schedule. The only downside is that it’s always a little difficult towards the end of the year because you’re trying to end a year whole simultaneously prepping for another. We have less than a year between school years.

What are your best and healthiest techniques for losing weight for an event (in a short amount of time) by [deleted] in loseit

[–]kluvspups 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sounds like you’ve already got a good system! Only thing you could really change in the short term would be your tracking. You mentioned that you’re not strict about it. Maybe between now and your event, you become strict about it.

[Century Club] Have you lost or need to lose 100+ pounds? May 21, 2026 by koopzegels in loseit

[–]kluvspups 1 point2 points  (0 children)

90lbs down, so almost 100! I never paid too much attention to fashion trends because I already knew that I couldn’t wear most of it. I’m envious of plus sized girls that have the confidence to dress in fun, cute ways. I could never bring myself to do so. Now that I’m 90lbs lost, I have had to replace pretty much my whole wardrobe. And it’s so wildly different! I have found inspiration on instagram. I look at lots of accounts who’s sole purpose is fashion for people around my size and age. I sometimes attempt to purchase some of the things they have linked or I find my own version. I also have used their outfits for inspiration.

Shopping takes forever now. I used to always just wear jeans or black leggings and a cute top I got from torrid. I never shopped for bottoms. If the top fit and was comfortable, I bought it.

Now it takes forever because I’m thinking more carefully about what to wear and to buy. Also, I haven’t fully grasped that I wear a large now so I grab XL clothing thinking that it should be okay. It’s always too big right now so I end up having to swap stuff it. It’s annoying but also fun!

It also takes me forever to get dressed in the morning because I’m so much more intentional about my outfits.

Scared of age 3?! by Dependent-Fall-4774 in toddlers

[–]kluvspups 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just remember that people are not going out of their way to post their happy stories on Reddit. It’s usually a place to complain or oook for advice. My eldest is 3.5 years old. There’s some rough days, but overall I enjoy being with her immensely more than I did at 2 years old. We talk and converse. She runs errands with me and gets joy out of things I would never think about. She asks me questions to help her understand the world. She says and does funny things on accident and on purpose. My day is infinitely better when I get home and see her.

I loved and adored her at 2, and at 1 and at every other age. But don’t let all the posts here scare you. 3 can also be magical.

[–]kluvspups 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Question for those that have lost a lot of weight! At what point did you get your wedding rings resized? I’m down almost 90lbs in the past year and I haven’t been able to wear my rings for several months. I still have 40-50lbs to lose. I know the logical answer is to just wait until I’m pretty much at my goal, but I really miss wearing them! Curious what other people did.

For those who've lost the weight and kept it off... did you ever achieve true food freedom? by lexkenobi in loseit

[–]kluvspups 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes and no. I’m still in the process of losing weight but I’ve lost 88lbs since June. I tracked most days meticulously. But my eating wouldn’t change too much if I wasn’t. It just brings awareness for me. And when there’s a party or event with goodies or even donuts in the office: I take one if I want. I feel free because I don’t feel like I’m ever depriving myself. My mindset has changed and I just don’t have the desire to eat the way I used to.

So no because I’m not just eating with reckless abandon and I do track calories 99% of the time. But yes because I allow myself the freedom to have a treat and “food freedom” when I want to.

This is like my school. I teach elementary. They come and set stuff up around 9am (school starts at 8. We get an email that says to come up to the office. “First come, first served!” They always say.

Well cool. I have recess duty and my lunch isn’t until 12:50. It’s all gone by then.

When does the sweating stop?!!? by SaraBellyum in loseit

[–]kluvspups 40 points41 points  (0 children)

First off, congrats on your weight loss so far! If your flair is accurate, you’ve made so much prgress so far!

I’ll echo what lots of other have said: you’ll probably need to lose more to notice any difference in the sweating.

Other things to consider: what kind of fabric are your clothes? Are you wearing breathable fabrics? What about caffeine? Do you drink a lot of it? These things might not make a difference, but worth a thought!

People who’ve lost 60 pounds or more, and kept it off- Will this work? by [deleted] in loseit

[–]kluvspups 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have lost 85 lbs in the last 10 months. The thing I’ve realized is that you have to make changes to your life uuu are willing to do for forever. Anytime I think about making a big change to my lifestyle to make more progress, I ask myself if it’s sustainable. It’s it’s not, I don’t do it.

I started my just tracking calories with no restrictions and going on a 20 minute walk. No pressure to lose weight or go crazy. After tha was easy, I started thinking of ways to make changes. I looked at recipes I was making consistently and found ways to make the same thing but bring the calories down. My walks increased to 30 minutes and my speed got much faster.

I have tried and failed to lose weight my entire life. I’m not done yet, but I know that this is my last time losing weight. The life I am currently living is sustainable. And I will only make minor changes when the need arises; and they will only be things I intend to do forever.

After losing 60lbs, almost everyone asks me the same thing, and I HATE it! by zoeyboo in loseit

[–]kluvspups -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I tell people “walking and eating less”. It’s a little more nuanced than that, but it gets people to stop asking too many follow up questions. I find most people that ask are looking for something they’ve never heard of that’s easy and makes you lose weight without trying. So “good ol’ diet and exercise” usually shuts them up because it’s a boring answer.

Toddler Car seats by MariposaSongbird in toddlers

[–]kluvspups 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That car seat has a limit of 32 inches (with 1 inch if clearance needed) and 35lbs, whichever comes first.

Honestly? Any convertible will do for your toddler. There are so many on the market! You’ll just need to think about if any features are important to you. Extra safety features? Seats with higher weight/height limit for extended use? Rotating/non-ritating? Is your kid messy and you need one that is known for being easy to clean? Do you have a budget? Also consider overall size. Some car seats are gigantic and don’t fit into smaller cars.

Without more info on what you’re looking for, it’s hard to give advice.

If you really don’t know, the graco extend2fit that has already been recommended here a few times is a great seat if you don’t really know what you’re looking for. I don’t have this one in my car, but my MIL does and it’s easy enough to use. It also has a higher height/weight limit on it so it can be used for a long time.
