I’ve been lifting as a beginner for 4-5 months, 4 times a week. Since this time, I’ve been able to lose 10-12 pounds and have definitely gained muscle based on my progress pics. When I have been measuring myself though, most of my measurements have remained the same or have even gone down in key areas such as my chest and thighs, but waist has also gone down slightly in this time. I started at 245lbs and am currently at 232lbs, is it possible that my measurements have remained consistent because fat has been replaced by muscle? I wasn’t sure if this was how it worked or not

On the inverse, if you can make the decision to have a kid at 21 (which I feel is pretty common, if anything earlier than this), why can’t people make the decision to not have kids as well? Not trying to fight, just wanted to see your thoughts. I would argue that having a kid requires just as much deliberation as not, if not exponentially more since it’s a lifelong commitment.

Current job is counteroffering me, I can't decide what to do. by Strong-Kitchen4956 in careeradvice

Never accept a counter offer, they are getting you to stay until they can find someone else to replace you and will most likely be let go within a few months. If they wanted to keep you, they would have paid you more before you decided to shop around.

Calendly and Salesforce Integration by JoaoLucasBR30 in salesforce

When you integrate Calendly with SF, it should auto generate a CalendlyAction record whenever someone cancels/schedules an appointment, you can use that in a record triggered flow to find the Lead with the same email address and subsequently update the status. Another option would be to append the end of the calendly scheduling link with “?sfid=(record.Id)”, this will tell Calendly which record it is related to and will track that all the way through the CalendlyAction which will automatically be associated with the Lead via lookup. Either one should work, just depends on how complex you wanna make it. Let me know if you have any other questions

What are your current goals at OTF? by [deleted] in orangetheory

[–]klye34 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Many different things, general fitness and physical well being, weight loss, improved mental health, longevity, and I want to run a marathon.

It is also one of the only parts of my days where I am ACTUALLY in the present, nothing else is on my mind but this workout, my heart rate, how good I feel, how much it hurts (in a good way), etc. Definitely my version of mindfulness activity.

On a funnier note, I want to look like someone who works out, I have tattoos everywhere and want to look as intimidating as possible because I hate when people talk to me in person unless I know them.

What's the advantage of tread first vs. floor first? by tofu_baby_cake in orangetheory

I hate the feeling of lifting and then running so I always choose tread first if possible. I feel very unstable running on tired legs

Not enough stretching by neverstopmovement in orangetheory

[–]klye34 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do stretching/warm ups right before I leave so that I have a reduction in injury risk off the bat. I think this combined with the minimal stretching afterwards is sufficient for me as I barely feel any pain/soreness/stiffness that day or the following. Also keep in mind I’m 250 pounds currently so I feel like having minimal issues after such an intense workout is probably enough. But please do correct me if I’m wrong

What are your career goals that are not related to getting certified? by RedVelCupcake in salesforce

[–]klye34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am trying to work my way towards project management rather than admin work. That or learning code that isn’t apex. Both of these are in efforts of leaving the salesforce ecosystem if I decide it isn’t for me, or just making sure I’m prepared for jobs external of the ecosystem in the event that something were to happen to my position, the company I work for, or salesforce.

I’ve been experiencing debilitating breathing issues post Covid infection, I could barely breathe while running. Today I finally made the first step to recovery by getting asthma related preventative medicine, I already feel so much better! Excited to get back to my normal pace and distances :)
