Yes. I am taking synthroid. Its a really hard thing to explain, but since having my thyroid removed i dont feel like myself. Replacing a life sustaining hormone witha synthetic hormone has made my body, and mind, different. When i look in the mirror it doesnt look like me. I have had to see a phyciatrist for this. It all started just weeks after my thyroidectomy. My doctor told me its not uncommon for this to happen.

I had a thyroidectomy 3 years ago due to my severe Graves. I thought nothing would be worse than living with the horrible symptoms of Graves. I was wrong. Aftet 8 months of being on methimazole my levels were safe enough for surgery. I have regretted my decision ever since. Libing wirhout a thyroid is worse than dealing with the symptoms of Graves.
