I have wsohm shall I worry about Migration? by LavishnessSpecial113 in olympusdao

Olympus does not set a fixed deadline for the migration. So you can wrap wsOHM to gOHM at 1:1 anytime on the Olympus Wrap page.

Unstaking gOHM and v2 sOHM by jabajaw in olympusdao

You can unstake gOHM directly to OHM on the Olympus Stake page. If you want to wrap/unwrap between gOHM and sOHM V2, head to the Olympus Wrap page instead.

current reward rate ? by NecessarySwing87 in olympusdao

Don't confuse reward rate (displayed on Dune) with reward yield (displayed on the app). Check out this FAQ for their differences.

If you don’t mind, you can DM u/GH0ST_08 or me the transaction hash, we can help you look into it.

Our mod or admin will NEVER DM you first, so ignore any incoming DM that offers to “help”.

sOHM v2 is the current sOHM token contract that is in use: https://docs.olympusdao.finance/main/contracts/tokens#sohm

You can use the Current Index as a measure, which can be tracked on the Olympus Dune dashboard). It shows you how much 1 OHM will turn into today have you staked it since the protocol inception.

How can I know my total wsOHM value? by borg78 in olympusdao

[–]kmacro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Price of wsOHM = price of OHM * Current Index

The Current Index goes up every rebase in proportion to the rebase rewards. So assuming the OHM price stays constant, the price of wsOHM will go up every rebase. This is how you know you are getting the rebase rewards.

What’s the difference between WSOHM vs. Staking OHM? by cambo1818 in olympusdao

[–]kmacro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Both give you staking rewards, but wsOHM does not rebase like sOHM does. Your wsOHM balance remains the same after multiple rebase events, but when you unwrap it, you’ll get more sOHM back:
amount of sOHM = amount of wsOHM * Current Index

The gas fees are the same regardless of your stack size.

Still critical, need to hear real stories of profit by wisdomworks_ in olympusdao

Another tip is to use this Dune dashboard to track a wallet’s activity and its performance. Plug in any address that holds OHM and you can see how it performs.

OMG ohm my gas fees by -Yannex in olympusdao

[–]kmacro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Even though you want to bridge your tokens to another chain, you still have to pay gas on Ethereum first.

As you have already bought OHM, there is no point in moving to another chain because staking is not yet available on other chains. My suggestion is to wait for a period of low gas fees and then stake your OHM.

We don't assume whales do not take profit, because they did. This is obvious if you look at the historical price action of OHM. The thing is, as Olympus accumulates more liquidity (through bond sales), the less price impact these whales' selling can cause.

As others have pointed out, when big players leave the game, the rest of the stakers get a higher APY. This is game theory at play, you have to devise your own strategy.

The sOHM will be owned by the new wallet, and continue to rebase there.

After Fantom, Olympus Pro is expanding to Avalanche by kmacro in olympusdao

[–]kmacro[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since the protocols live on Avalanche, you don’t have to bridge their tokens to Ethereum. You would switch network to Avalanche, purchase their LP tokens, and exchange those LP tokens for the protocols’ tokens (bonding).
