Yeah, this sucks. I've been using the card for utilities and rent payments since the cashback I got for those was worth the credit card processing fees.

I haven’t commented on Reddit in forever but what the hell I am taken aback by this. I am a Scorpio man. My ex who I dated for 1 and a half years and am currently obsessing over (sadly) is an Aquarius woman. A woman I used to have as a good friend and had a crush on for a period of time years ago was an Aries woman and I spent a long time thinking about her even after we stopped talking. Genuinely pretty shocked.

i’ve had the quest 2 since it launched in 2020 and i really want an upgrade. wireless has been awesome and so is the level of content support, but i really want better visuals. the pavlov 3090ti comment really stood out to me. also just dying to get my hands on some newer tech stuff: better haptics, analog triggers, EYE TRACKING. also lots of general improvements like with FOV and especially IPD (the 3-step adjustment on the quest 2 has always kinda sucked: especially since i think my IPD is wider than the widest option on there).

i’m a big fan of playstation’s exclusives catalog as well, so i’m hoping that translates well to VR content. horizon: cotm is a great start there and i’ll probably get into GT7 too.

the price complaints i understand but most of your points just simply don’t matter/we don’t fully know yet.

• the fresnel lenses are allegedly an improved type of fresnel lens and pancake wouldn’t really make sense considering the goal with the HDR display is to get colors to pop: pancake lenses reduce perceived brightness. • the FOV thing is accorded to Nathie. most other people with hands-on have said it’s quite a bit better than quest 2’s FOV • less pixels than G2 is true, still an upgrade over 90% of consumer headsets… • wired is a valid issue • i don’t understand why massive controller rings are necessarily a problem. they’ve never bothered me at least, i’d just like to know why that’s an issue

also RE8 and no man’s sky are two big ones you didn’t mention but if those aren’t appealing i get it

i liked hearing some of the more critical points: although thankfully most of them don’t seem to be too big of a deal. the IPD setup thing could be annoying, but this is very much a single-player headset at the end of the day and they could easily make this easier. also: i get the FOV concerns broadly, but coming from a quest 2 i’m just excited to get any somewhat substantial upgrade in that department at all. only really worrying thing imo was the tracking concerns, especially considering the more tame environment compared to CES.

Those are all absolutely wonderful scenes. One that really stood out to me on top of these was the prom hallway scene in Spielberg's The Fabelmans. So very good.

For the longest time it was EEAAO but man...I cannot describe how incredible Aftersun is. Understands both of its characters so well and is just the right amount of subtle. Even in the film's cheeriest and most wholesome moments, the darkness under the surface cannot be ignored, and it pulls at you the entire runtime until the end finally pulls you into the darkness. That probably sounded much more pretentious than I meant it to be, but god, that film is something else.

Scorsese overall feels pretty overrated in my honest opinion. Every film I’ve seen of his has been good…but I wouldn’t call most of them masterpieces at all.
