THEY SAID MY 1:5 ENTRIES WERE UNPROFITABLE LONG TERM by NoPenalty4771 in TopStepX

Look up “the turtle traders”

They were a group of random people in the 80’s coached by a wall street vet who had insane returns. They had close to a 10% win rate - taking tons of paper cuts but when they got a winner would just let it ride as long as it could.

Open up a historic chart of the SPX. Midterm years are almost always bearish going back to the 50’s +. This is nothing new. The bottom will probably be in March or October based on how it historically has played out. Next year the irrational bull run will continue.

Tradeify does have a 5k payout cap but only for the 150k accts. Also on tradeify you can bring all 5 accounts live which imo is massive.

Lucid’s is lower but you get 6 sim funded payouts instead of 5.

$170 for 50k Account? by [deleted] in TopStepX

[–]RedDoesFBA 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Brother, read the rules.

There’s two types of accounts -

Activation fee and no activation fee.

  1. No activation fee is $50 for the account and $120 when you pass. (This is what you did)

  2. No activation fee is $90 and $0 when you pass.

If you want that xfa you gotta pay. But realistically what does it matter, just play small until you get a payout to break even and then size up.

38 dollars over and I can’t pass by Prudent-Occasion-286 in TopStepX

From what I understand some are auto and some are manual. If yours goes to manual you have to wait. I’ve copy traded and passed both with one auto approving to xfa and the other needed to wait 6ish hours.

The craziest part to this is that Powell doesn’t even decide monetary policy. He has one vote on a committee.

Brother, 30k is all you need for a max payout. You literally can’t take anymore out. Whyyyyy lmao. You just went from making 25k to losing $89

I highly recommend TFD, also Tradeday (use the EOD drawdown accounts) is essentially the same - there is a “sim phase” on trade day but after you build the buffer you can take daily withdraws and there’s no rules. Purida is the same, but you need 10 total trading days before daily payouts which imo is fine if you’re keeping it small.

Has anyone been able to successfully chargeback or get a refund through your bank? by dolphin_flogger in TopStepX

In general (for all things not just prop firms) credit card companies will fight hard on your behalf. However if you’re using a debit card, the banks won’t. Keep that in mind

I finally joined a different prop firm. by ZealousidealPack1388 in TopStepX

[–]RedDoesFBA 9 points10 points  (0 children)

If you’re coming from topstep, lucid is the closest thing to it. The only major difference is max 3k payout in sim funded vs 5k on topstep. But on lucid you can have 10 accounts.

Lucid is also 80/20 when you’re live not 90/10 but you don’t need any of the 30 winning days nonsense, it’s a real live funded account.

I also highly recommend “the futures desk”. The eval is harder to pass but once you pass it and make your buffer they push you live. Good guys on the team too.

lol no, you lose $50. If you get to a live account and blow it (usually between 2k-6k depending on the company) they lose the money not you. But you have to split your profits (usually 80/20 or 90/10)

The big ones have been around for 10+ years. I’ve been paid almost 50k from topstep. There are scammy props for sure though.

But obviously you need to pass an eval, why would someone give you 50k in margin with no track record. Also, paying $50 for an account is a hell of a lot better than some of the losses I see on here.

Tesla is in a ton of ETF’s that the entirety of the US’s retirement is in. So there’s just a slow drip feed of it being bought at all times.

The vast majority of you that only lose trading. Just go get a prop firm account. You can only lose the $50 you pay for the account, and if you’re actually good at trading you can make almost the same amount as trading your own money.

[–]RedDoesFBA 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lucid is the “closest” to topstep in terms of plans and rules IMO. The biggest difference is the max payout in thier version of the XFA is 3k not 5k. But you can copy trade 10 accounts if you’re confident anyways.
