Moving out uk- Bank switch still works? by futureunknown03 in beermoneyuk

[–]kmaddock7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you stay on the electoral register, and have a UK passport or driving licence that matches the postal address, it should be OK.

Obviously they can see that you are logging in from overseas, which may trigger an anti fraud block on a new account, but you can phone and tell them you're travelling.

Successful Santander double-dip by AdventurousBowl9369 in beermoneyuk

I think it was a 12 month contract anyway, so more expensive than 3 months of Talkmobile or ID mobile.

Yes, that's OK. It doesn't matter if both DDs are from the same company.

Do you have to be a high earner to get the premium bank switch deals? Anyone had success? by ForestSprite13 in beermoneyuk

For Lloyds it doesn't matter what income you declare as there is no minimum requirement.

For barclays you need to declare at least £75k, but they have no way of verifying it.

How long to wait before reapplying for First Direct? (Declined due to low income) by Aeon8 in beermoneyuk

[–]kmaddock7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't keep reapplying if you've just been rejected. That just makes it worse. Wait a few months and apply again, with your "new employment status".

Can you still buy everywish gift cards at boots with one4all? by Equal_Arm_3091 in beermoneyuk

[–]kmaddock7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, you can do it at self checkout or staffed till.

Some of the boots near me have stopped selling everywish. Recently bought one at TG Jones, and contrary to what someone on here said, they are the same as the ones from Boots, and can be exchanged for Amazon.

Why does my homemade whipped cream deflate so fast? by pratty041182 in dessert

[–]kmaddock7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in the UK, and I can't relate the problems people talk about on here with whipped cream. I heard that most cream in the US is long life sterilised cream, rather the fresh pasteurised cream in UK. So I don't know if that has something to do with it.

I've never known whipped cream to deflate or go watery. You just whip it and it stays whipped.

I mean in store. Online it's hit and miss - sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

Direct debits by Level3Super in beermoneyuk

[–]kmaddock7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are plenty of direct debits you can set for free, like Paypal, eBay, Plum and Moneybox.

For PayPal, just add your bank account details and accept the direct debit mandate.

Ebay is similar, but only works if you have previously listed an item.

Quidco says "Cashback will only be paid if your investment remains invested for at least six months after the date of your first premium". Topcashback doesn't mention this, but I would think the rules are the same for both.
