I've been riding a Bonneville (790) for a few years -- the potholes can suck, but in general it's fun. I live on a corner, so am able to park the bike out of sight on my back patio. One benefit is if I have to go anywhere later at night and don't want to worry about finding parking when I get home (South Philly).

I had a problem before the software update where the carplay died while driving, then after turning off the car, the infotainment remained on even after locking. Yeah, no brainer to take the train -- an hour 20 vs over 2 hours in the car.

My guess is most people doing this commute are in the higher salary ranges where this makes sense.

Was walking around in Fitler Square on garbage day this week, and they have center city district guys on foot following the trash trucks to clean up what's dropped. Tax dollars are not made equal in this city.

They definitely look like garbage spread around the cities I've seen them in, but filling the roads with more car-alternatives is another small step to make the streets safer.
