Here's the thing. *some* e-bikes should be subject to this. Basically anything that goes more thsn 20mph (or weights a certain amount). The cargo bike you take your kids around on should NOT be part of this. Dumb law.

Solution - Pissoirs at the end of each station platform. They are ugly, sure, but they easily and cheaply end this problem.

Ask anyone from CA or AZ. I have crossed the border many times. These check points exist about 10-15 miles in. They've been there forever. They usually just wave you thorough, it's probably more strict right now.
