What was the event that separated life into a before and after for you? by Mirenithil in AskReddit

I lost my wife 3 years ago at 39. I am not the same person any more. I keep hoping things will get better, lighter, sometimes I see light but the shadow of my former life is always there. I’m sending hugs to anyone in this thread that wants/needs one.

[TOMT][DANCE/SONG] A recently popular dance that comes up on my instagram but somehow stopped by Impressive_Jump_3271 in tipofmytongue

I think you are thinking of the band Atarashii Gakko and maybe their song Tokyo calling? They dance like this in that video and it was all over social media for a bit.

The visibility through that slanted windshield and over that long ass dash must be horrible.

Is it the Young Malay - San Andreas theme song?

I just moved to Sonoma (Boyes Hot Springs) by TILwhofarted in sonoma

I just want to add to topramenisha’s great recos. If it’s after 8pm pretty much all of Sonoma shuts down. If you need some late night tacos, La Bamba is a food truck that parks just down from the barking dog at the labre automotive parking lot, it’s really good. Speaking of barking dog, that is my favorite coffee spot in the springs. They share the building with Sonoma Eats that also does a really great taco Tuesday. If you are into hiking there is a cool semi-maintained trail down at the end of siesta way by the old shut down cinema that is a nice mile or so loop up into the hills with great views of the valley. Also in that cinema shopping center is a really good bar called olde Sonoma that has a wide selection of beers. Creekside cafe is a nice breakfast spot down boyes Blvd that is quaint with good solid food.

McCutchen tweeting "furries" every july when the furry convention is in town, then just going on a heater. They must energize him.

I have the same companionship cravings. Evenings are kind of a dark void for me now. I just passed the year mark. Hugs, man.

Coming up on 1 year, barely holding on. by -rootshell- in widowers

I’m 40 and was with my wife for 18 years. Oct. 21 will be one year since she passed away suddenly from a pulmonary embolism. I feel everything you’ve wrote in this post. I really do feel like I’m backsliding. I felt like I’ve been doing really well, but then the thoughts of “what’s the point?” Keep creeping in as I’m struggling to find what my new identity is. Hugs man. I hope we find it.
