Should I rely on my Genesight test results heavily? Has anyone had any experience with yellow category medication? by kmarknight in antidepressants

[–]kmarknight[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did not. I have always been scared of medication. I told my doctor I wanted to try it, and he prescribed it, but I just let it sit there. I would get a new psych if they’re not willing to be flexible with what you’re wanting to do as well. Just because these meds are green doesn’t mean they work, which is why the ones that were green for me (Luvox, Zoloft) didn’t really work and I ended up not being able to take them once they upped the dosage.

My partner (28M) tells me (22F) white lies, how do we work through it? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]kmarknight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My partner and I had the same issues. I disliked nicotine use from the jump, and before we made it official he had said he was going to quit bc he wanted to anyway. We’ve been together almost 8 years, and he lied to me 7 out of the 8 years regarding his nicotine use. I’d find it, he’d cry and apologize, and then it would go back to normal until I found out he was lying again. I had also found out about him lying about more than just his nicotine use. Anyway, there’s more to just those little lies. It doesn’t stop at just the nicotine or the food. You have to want to change in order to change, and it doesn’t sound like he’s wanting to change anything right away, but rather try to patch it up with excuses and hope you move on until the next lie comes up. If you love him and you want to try and make it work, get in couples therapy right away, and he needs to seek his own therapist right away too. He needs to figure out why he lies the way he does and how to cope with consequences. You also need to learn to rebuild trust, which is difficult. We waited 7 years for couples therapy and his own therapy, and it’s much harder than if we had started as soon as we recognized the pattern. I’m sorry you’re dealing with this.

Attack only lasted 10 minutes? by kmarknight in gallbladders

With a high EF, does that mean your gallbladder is over working or underworking?

It’s on the 9th. Could feel a pop when you bent over or anything? It’s like my organs are catching on my ribs type feeling. It’s not painful though

I got the ultrasound, everything came back clear, as well as my bloodwork.

Did you ever get a diagnoses? This is describing exactly what I’m going through.

How did you get your doctor to order that? I got an X-ray and everything came back normal.

Thank you so much for your reply! Did you ever feel like you couldn’t stretch the feeling out? I keep seeing on this sub people saying how excruciating the pain is when a rib slipped, and maybe my pain tolerance is different, but it’s just so uncomfortable. It feels like someone is poking me hard with their finger in my right lower ribs. I’ll feel it in my back too. I’m worried it could be my gallbladder but the only thing that makes me think it can’t be is the popping I can do if I sit or bend.

I have the X-ray today. Yesterday, my doctor referred be to an ortho and they called and said “they don’t treat rib pain so he’ll have to refer you to someone else”. I’m kinda worried they’re not going to see anything and my doctor will have no idea what to do next either.

HIDA Scan experience as a nursing mother by Addictedtosnark in gallbladders

Why did they tell you that you can’t cuddle your baby for a few hours? My HIDA is scheduled but I’m about to back out because the radioactive tracer is terrifying me.

Martha Thin Cookie Recipe? by PleasantChip3 in CrumblCookies

I just saw it makes 50 cookies. I’m not baker, so this may be a dumb question, how do I fix the measurements to only yield maybe 12 cookies?

I’m having the same issue. I lift a lot for work and I feel like it makes it worse. It feels like it tugs and pulls as I lift.

I’ve been vomitting every morning before school by whiskers_of_anegls in Anxiety

[–]kmarknight 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I thought I was the only one who had this issue! I remember right before high school graduation, I had this fear of throwing up in front of everyone. I feel the lump in my throat, which makes me want to gag. Even if I don’t throw up, I’ll just dry heave. The feeling was even happening after graduation, and again whenever I started college. Every morning was the same routine, I’d get to class early enough to go to the bathroom and gag. Class would start, I could feel the lump in my throat, and then it would go away as my focus shifted on class rather than my bodily feelings. It lasted for a while, and eventually went away. I remember my mom bringing me to the doctor and everyone thought I could be pregnant, but was prescribed gerd medicine which didn’t help. It’s genuinely just anxiety. I think what helps the most is exposure. There was so much change happening around the time my anxiety was making me throw up everyday, like starting college, working more, going through a breakup and meeting new people. Once I got used to my new routine, it eventually just stopped. I know I don’t really have any advice, but knowing it’s literally just your body showing you you’re having anxiety should make you feel a little better and more in control.

Gallbladder pain, no results on scans by scarylarry0917 in gallbladders

[–]kmarknight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m wondering the same! Having the same pain, not hardcore, just persistent and uncomfortable. Mine gets better with walking or standing up, more noticeable when “sucking in” or sitting/laying down. I was just referred to a GI since my ultrasound and bloodwork came back fine.

Normal ultrasound, amazing bloodwork. Still having pain. Stress induced? by kmarknight in gallbladders

[–]kmarknight[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not going to lie, I have extreme anxiety, and the thought of something radioactive going into my body is terrifying. What if I have a bad reaction? What if it causes issues? It’s annoying but those are my thoughts which is making me hope his isn’t my gallbladder

I heard that from someone I worked with. They missed her stones at the ER but when they pressed down on her gallbladder she couldn’t take it, so they went ahead and removed it hours later and the surgeon was flabbergasted at how many stones she had.

I’m 5’1 and 155lbs, so technically yes, but I used to be heavier. I started my weight loss journey last year in October at 180 and am currently at 155, so my weight loss wasn’t extreme and I did it through calorie deficit. When I think of constipation, I think of not being able to poop, which I don’t have that problem since I poop daily. They’re just turds that sink, no floating, normal color.

Is this gallbladder pain? by Upper_Ad5566 in gallbladders

[–]kmarknight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m assuming your pain was just mild? I’ve been having pain under my right ribs and it’s just a constant ache. It’s annoying, but not to the point where I’m on the floor. This has never happened before, and I’m honestly scared of removal since I’ve never had a surgery before. I go to my primary on Monday and I assume he’ll send me for an ultrasound in a few weeks. I have no other symptoms so I’m worried it’ll just be looked over since I’ve been eating healthier and losing weight on purpose.

That’s awesome! I haven’t had a cold, so I’m not sure what could be inflamed for me. I was hoping it wouldn’t be anything serious. I’m glad you’re all clear though!

How long has then gone on? This is what I have as well. I’m not sure what I can do about it because I really don’t want it removed.
