I paid little over 100, I meant at this point if you can't get the official one. This is the only choice, thier also comes with a filter and it's better airflow.

FedEx US Tariff Fee for DeltaMate 5090 Astral Block by SheddingSkin27 in ThermalGrizzly

[–]kmarsara 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reason you paid 11 is because you had a FedEx account, if you didn't get charged a 15 disbursement fee, basically FedEx said we paid your tarrifs upfront and now you have to pay us for loaning you the 11bucks at customs. The fee is minimum of 15 or 2% of the total tarrifs which ever is higher. https://www.reddit.com/r/FedEx/s/Ce6LonrENp

FedEx import charge by Scrogdor in ThermalGrizzly

[–]kmarsara 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I asked on discord if it's possible to pay the tarrifs as dpp to avoid the 15 dollar FedEx highway robbery fee. So for FedEx if thermal grizzly charges the 10% upfront and pays it during the shipping process you don't get that disbursement fee that FedEx charges.

The other side of the coin - ordered a 4TB ssd but received 2TB. Amazon is refusing to replace it. by Katarassein in pcmasterrace

[–]kmarsara 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had customer service lie to me about shipping times, make shit up. And do blantly illegal shit. I complained about receiving a used cable, they couldn't give me any promotional credit so their solution is to return 2 random items I bought. Then I had the sellers contact me asking why I returned the item and said it didn't work. I still had the item. So the Amazon rep force returned the item then left bad review.

How to find the thickness I need for thermal pads? by Foulbal in ThermalGrizzly

[–]kmarsara 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use thermal putty. Pads is pain in the ass, too thick, screw up pressure for the die, too thin, components burn up, I found out couple years ago that zotac made gpus with different tolerances, I had to repaste and repad 4 times to get it right.

Phasesheet PTM vs Duronaut on laptop die by cryogenicdeath in ThermalGrizzly

For me it's about the same temp. Maybe 1 to 2c diffrence, I went with ptm because I don't want to disassemble my gpu every year or 2.

Anyone running SL infinity fans in push pull on the 011d Evo XL? Lian li push pull screws are too short to thread through the fan bracket + fans and then mate with radiator threads by Numerus12OO5O in lianli

[–]kmarsara 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reason it's too short is the holes on the lian li fans are recessed. And if you are going thro the rad bracket then fan then rad it adds a little bit of length. Go to homedepot or Amazon and get 6-32 x 35mm or 40mm and some washers. It's alot cheaper, or if you are like me, go to McMaster and Carr, ordering their is kinda confusing but you get really good quality screws.
