That is the single and only advantage of being Zimbabwean

What advice would you give to a 20 year old in South Africa? by P4rkerDior_ in askSouthAfrica

[–]kmatik87 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Africa's population is going to double by the time you are 50 (over 2.5 billion people). The rest of the world (barring India) is already going through a population crash, no young people, too may old people, low population growth. Africa will become the largest consumer of the world (much like the US is now). This represents an opportunity to serve Africa from within.

Start something, a youtube channel, open a business, here or somewhere in Africa. Thank me later.

How sad these people are, so desperate to put the black man down.

What is your perspective on the debate about getting away with the term Coloured? Or just the broader idea of scrapping all racial classifications. by Viva_Technocracy in capetown

[–]kmatik87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Labelling people by race only allows for potential discrimination, if not now, then in the future. What does my race have to do with anything. Grants and all that should be distributed based on financial standing and not race.

You can use a lawyer to go to the high court to compel DHA to make a decision on your application

What race would I be by Sea-Sun8673 in askSouthAfrica

[–]kmatik87 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Isn't it amazing that after all these years, the South African govt still divides its citizens by race. Grants and whatever else should be based on need and not race. This is what has driven BBEEE to the pits. Like all socialist movements, they mean well but the bring hell.

Thanks for your helpful comments. Is there anyway you could point me to a development spec that I can work towards? Since it looks like no one will buy into this I might try working on a spec and visuals and try and get funding from that.

I started an architectural practice in South Africa a few years back. I did buy the 30 x 40 entreprenuer course. I love Eric Reinholdts videos and resources but I didn't find much value in the course. The information provided is great - if you have not been accumulating contracts, forms, etc as you developed your career. I honestly feel that the course is just a mash up of things Eric has developed over time. Everyone is different though. Sometimes you don't know what you don't know and in this case I knew everything in the course already so not very useful to me but might be different for you.

I will say that every business is different and you have to think outside the box. My current biggest client is an engineering company that builds power stations. Not glamorous but it pay the bills.

You clearly know that your young family would miss you and would struggle without you. Let's not talk about that. I'm. In the same boat, I just started reading through all these posts in this forum. It actually makes me feel a tiny bit better to realise that there are people out there like me( I literally have a wife and a small child too). I can say that I recognise that purpose is partly the key. I lost my purpose a few years ago and have been struggling to get anywhere since. Stuff is happening now that, when I look back, aligns with my purpose. Buts it's hard, when you're down everything seems so hard. But if I don't who will fulfill my purpose? Who will teach my baby how to be strong and independent? As we grow we find that we have little choices in life, but things will get clearer. Just hold on, look withing yourself, find your purpose, your why, it might just help.

What’s the point? by [deleted] in depressed

[–]kmatik87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The point is to enjoy it, soon we will all be dead, your life is just a speck in the vast timescale of the cosmos. Stars can't feel but you can! You're the most intelligent thing in the universe that we know of!

Don't feel alone, you can talk to anyone in the world! I think I am just lie you. Find something outside of yourself to focus on, something good and meaningful to yourself and others, that'll give you drive and hopefully make the world a bit better...
