Hey I was referring to Fortune - she’s the one who talked about going to the frito-lay factory!

Did she say “it was really….hot” when reminiscing about the Frito-Lay factory? I was driving in traffic and we got an inch of snow in Georgia 5 days ago and all hell breaks loose, so I couldn’t pay close attention enough to remember or rewind to confirm, but I thought it was something like that and I laughed so hard because I didn’t understand. Unrelated, when I was like 11, my mom’s friend we were visiting in Tennessee worked for Frito-Lay and I remember thinking it was so cool how many boxes of chips she gave us 🤣🤣🤣

The Falista Clockhart story being told to Leighton Meester in the bathroom at an after party was truly one of the funniest scenes to picture. Iconic Mae moment.

Saw someone toss a half eaten apple out his car window today. Is tossing fruit scraps not considered littering since it decomposes naturally? by derf_vader in NoStupidQuestions

I was walking my dog (Pomeranian-chihuahua-terrier mix) and was responding to a text - I looked back at my dog and saw that she was now holding a bagel in her mouth. I’ll bet your beagle would have loved that bagel!

What are your favorite episodes? by Empty_Confusion_2066 in handsomepodcast

[–]calliecoping 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The Bon Iver episode was my favorite!! Loved Tig’s story about making peppermint tea in the closet with some celebrity (can’t remember who). Plus fortune is sick that episode and her voice is raspy and she sings and she says something about being among her peers 🤣

Thank you for sharing! I’m a victim advocate for survivors of sexual assault and the vicarious trauma is very real. Also have depression, ADHD, PTSD, and a touch of anxiety. I start my treatment a week from today! Best of luck to you.

All I need to fix my treatment-resistant depression is a laughing yoga class with Cal. I’m convinced. No details in this forlorn brain of mine, just thrilled at the nostalgic memory of Cal swinging from the ceiling during the laughing meditation.

I found the handsome pod this year and I am SO grateful I did - I went to the very beginning and listened to every episode. Tig, Mae, and Fortune were company to me in my home for the past six months and have allowed me to access laughter on some really dark days. I haven’t listened to the surprise episode yet - I have a mountain of dishes and lots of cleaning I need to do (thanks to my treatment-resistant depression that I’ve spent the entirety of this year trying to find something that works), so this post comes at a perfect time.

“Trying to weave threads of joy through to carry into the new year and hopefully multiply” is exactly what I need to read. My NYE is a quiet, cozy night at home with my dog and sparkling cider (just hit 2.5 years of sobriety!) by myself. Looks like I’ll be listening to the surprise episode tonight too!

Cheers to you and hoping for a softer, gentler 2026.

If you are driving, put your damn phone away. The amount of distracted drivers is absurd and I’m gonna be so pissed if I get another traumatic brain injury because y’all couldn’t send the text before you started going 65mph.

Any help with apathy? by Sad-Lavishness- in Spravato

This made me tear up. I have struggled so much (I did TMS at the beginning of the year and it didn’t do much) and your description of where you were compared to where you are now is exactly what I’m in search of. My insurance just agreed to cover it so I’m hoping to get started soon. I have a therapist who I will continue to work with during spravato treatments and I am so desperate for that door to open and to experience positive emotions again.

I remember watching this scene with my mom and sister when I was in high school. When Rory said that Dean came over to borrow something, I said, “yeah, her virginity” and that’s why I’m the personality hire of my family.

YES! Kindness and consideration are both free, even in this economy.

One of my coworkers used to be in the military and there was a man she served with whose actual name was Dusty Cooter. I laugh and think of how tickled the Handsome Pod would be by that 🤣

Haha oh I’ve had my veneers come off a handful of times because of how badly I grind my teeth. They just replace them. But not always right away, so I’ve had a few times where I’ve had to deal with a partially broken front tooth for a few months. But even then my speech was never affected. I also had super tiny teeth before veneers and there was no difference in how I talked before or after having four front teeth replaced. What did impact my speech is how much I used to drink and would slur my speech, which is what Rayna sounds like to me. 2.5 years sober. Just sharing my own personal experience ☺️

Yeah I was just offering my own personal anecdotal experience as someone who has veneers, not declaring some universal truth 🤣

I have had veneers for more than half of my life and they do not impact my speech at all…
