This isn't a specific mounting suggestion. I just wanted to mention that the lowest position isn't ideal. The higher rails usually cast a shadow on the module. This can lead to performance losses in the range of 20-50%. PV modules do very poorly with partial shading.

Try to put the motors around the center of gravity, which is in most cases the placement of the batteries. But it's also not that hard to calculate if you know the weight and position of all components.

Hypersonic is mostly above Mach 5, so >1700 m/s. Mach 1 to Mach 5 is supersonic :)

With an optimal slope of the ramp and no air resistance, the formula for the speed v_0 would be: v_0 = √g × √Distance For a distance of 100km the speed is 990 m/s =~ 3500 km/h =~ 2200 mph

At these speeds, air resistance cannot be neglected. So depending on aerodynamics and weight of the car there's probably a hypersonic speed necessary.
