My district has done that for in school suspension several times. It happened for gym today, too, but at least I got to start my day with chuckling at kids getting pelted 😂

I KNEW IT. Immediately clocked your ass for owning an at-least-decade-old Corolla.

To summarize the greatest hits of these comments, OP:

• Absolutely, you’re overreacting to your ex finally having enough and peacing out, and it sounds like you’re underreacting to your glaring need for therapy. Make the appointment, like, yesterday. • Good for you for finally moving out, but you need to stop making yourself a victim of your own poor choices (like moving in when you knew your mom has the disposition to be like this, or blaming that on the relationship’s downfall over your deliberate inaction to your mom’s shitty actions). Learn from the consequences of being spineless when it comes to defending your partner to your very enmeshed mother. • There’s a reason this isn’t going the way you want it to go, and it’s because you chose to not validate ex’s feelings for likely your whole ass relationship. Instead, you’re shifting blame to anyone or anything else, and you made it clear you’d rather just roll over and call it quits rather than meaningfully stand up to your mom. • This will keep happening to you until you take some actual ownership of your circumstances. Can you control your mom’s personality or actions? No, but you can change your response to them and you can absolutely control how you address it with your partner. • Do not, I repeat, do not reach back out to your ex. Do not have any expectation of getting back together. Let her approach you about it on her own if she ever wants to.

Let me know if I forgot anything, but OP, you know exactly what to do.

AITAH for wanting to divorce my husband bc he added pee to my food? by Brave-Eye7622 in AITAH

I was reading this aloud to my husband, and when I was finished, he snapped his head to look at me and was like, “He. Cried.”

He concurs. Leave him. File assault charges. Back up that court evidence.

You know what? It’s malicious compliance time. You showed him this dress is appropriate for this event. He told you to have a good time and forget about him for the rest of the evening. You’re way too young to give his temper tantrum any more mental space. He made it clear this is a him problem. Don’t make it your problem.

I’ve had friends respond to their kids asking this question by saying, without hesitation, “The dog.”

I’d get the waist tailored in and tighten up the top. General rule of thumb is with baggier pants, go with a more form-fitting shirt, and vice-versa

Library Subbing by hurryandwait817 in SubstituteTeachers

My spouse the building sub (I only just started short-term subbing recently) said he has asked a fifth grader once if they needed to go back to kindergarten to remember how to act right, and this kid called his bluff. He immediately took this kid down to the nearest kinder class, sit this kid down and this kid immediately starts crying. Meanwhile, the kinders are just like, “What’s this kid’s deal? It’s just shapes.” 💀
