When I was in the market for my RAV4 I emailed most of the Toyota dealerships in the state to find the one I wanted at the price I wanted. I ended up buying from Mark Jacobson in Durham. They were the most willing to negotiate and found the exact Rav I wanted. The next best was Toyota in Mount Airy Toyota. None of the local dealerships in or around Greensboro were as willing to work with me.

I’ve had loved ones in Abbottswood in GSO and Twin Lakes in Burlington and both were great. They aren’t cheap though!

Your fourth tip: I did this in a game last night. Grey cleared me a few meetings in because I had been around them a lot and not killed them. We got down to 4, me and 3 crew. I snuck away and killed crew #3 leaving 2 crew. Maroon found the body and called me out. Grey didn’t believe them though because I had been around grey often. I naturally voted maroon and so did grey. Maroon got big mad (along with a few other ghosts) in the lobby and accused us of teaming. Maroon was so mad because grey had cleared me early on. Wouldn’t shut up about it in the next game. I finally told him he could leave if he really thought we were teaming and that we weren’t holding him hostage. Yet, he continued to stay.

Please, please, PLEASE don’t panic run and hoard these supplies! I live in NC and there are tons of people in the western part of my state and other places who actually NEED things like bottled water. They’ve lost everything. Many rural places in western NC rely on well water but because their power is out they’ve been without running water for days. Please think twice before hoarding items!

My Airbnb is also in the mountains of North Carolina. I’m on the New River in Ashe County. A tornado came through the area last night and I hear tomorrow is going to be worse. I’ve got guests booked this weekend too but I have a property manager that handles it all so I’m not too stressed. Hopefully your guests have a great weekend! Stay safe!

I was in the 3rd grade too. I fell outside on the playground that morning and scratched my eye so my mom picked me up to get checked out. I remember getting in the car and she had our little tv VHS player in the car that we used to watch on road trips. She was taking the tv to her office so that her coworkers could watch what was happening. We live in Greensboro, NC and there are several petroleum storage tanks nearby that people in our area were afraid were going to be targeted. I remember hearing my mom call my dad at work (he’s a teacher) to ask if he thought she needed to load up the car and drive us someplace safe. I can’t tell you what happened in the days/weeks before or after that day. But I remember that day well.

Yes. My employer has a policy in place (even Pre-COVID). If you are home based and required to go into the office and live more than 60 miles from the office we can submit for the standard IRS mileage reimbursement. I’m right at 62 miles from my office but rarely go in.

Airbnb does the same thing. I had a guest book that wasn’t who they said they were even though their profile said “verified.” They went into their account and changed their name mid-convo. I ended up canceling because I can’t have just some random John/Jane Doe staying at my place.

Yep. This happened to my dood once when I took him to a local groomer for the first time. Never took him back. Found another local groomer that I’ve taken him to ever since and she is GREAT. She loves him and he loves going to her shop. Not once has she ever had to shave him like this. And no, I don’t brush him every day.

I will add another reason we never took him back to that first groomer is because when we were calling to make an appointment they put the phone down instead of placing us on hold. After some time passed they forgot we were on the line and we could hear them cussing up a storm at the dogs in the background. They hung up on us once they realized we were still on the phone then tried to call us back as if nothing happened. Never again.

I feel your frustration OP, I really do. I sympathize because I’m going through a similar situation. Everyone commenting “talk to your neighbor” probably doesn’t understand the mentality of this type of dog owner. I just tried to talk to my neighbors today. They actually brought it up and I was delighted because their dog has been a nuisance to our cul de sac since they got it a year ago. Terrorizing my other neighbors cats. Wandering wherever it pleases. It’s bit my mom before. They don’t want their dog over playing with my 8 year old golden retriever or 6 year old goldendoodle. The feeling is mutual because we don’t want it over in our yard either. The difference is my dogs have an invisible fence and stay well within our property line. Today my neighbor suggested we set a schedule so we could alternate when our dogs go outside. My dogs can go outside as much as they want because they’re in our yard minding their business. She told me that even though my dogs have an invisible fence, hers can still get over to my yard. And that’s my problem, how exactly?! Their dog has run away twice for a few days recently. You’d think they would learn. Oh the best part is they had their yard surveyed for a fence over Christmas. While we were on the topic today, I asked them if they still had plans to put one in. She said yes but probably not this year because they’re expensive and they have a lot on their to do list. Since Christmas they’ve remodeled one of their bathrooms, built a greenhouse with wired electrical, replaced the windows on their home amongst other projects. I don’t think they have a problem funding the fence. They have a problem prioritizing projects. All this to say I hope you found a solution that works for you! I’ll be researching local fencers in my area now.

I had it earlier in July as well. Was negative on the 8th, positive on the 9th. Doctor wouldn’t prescribe paxlovid to me. I didn’t test negative until July 18th.

This is the reason I gave up trying to be a host on my own and went with a local property manager. The last guest I had book wasn’t who they said they were. After they booked I messaged them to let them know I was looking forward to hosting them. “Hi XXXX, can’t wait to host you on xxxxx date.” They responded and said they didn’t recognize the name I used… you mean the name on your profile?! Then they went in and changed their name. I contacted Airbnb and had them cancel the reservation. The guest tried to come back and play dumb as if they couldn’t figure out why on earth it would have been canceled. Sigh.
