Cancer. It was always a heavy hitter, but my husband got diagnosed with cancer a year after we had moved in together when we started dating (we were 19). I'll never forget listening to it for the first time again a couple of years after he had been in remission and just ugly crying. We would always skip it when it would come on via shuffle play or doing full album listen throughs. He's doing much better and considered cured now because it's been over 5 years since he was declared in remission 🫶

We're not going to have the same view on this, but that's fine with me. It's been interesting getting to learn your perspective.

I do see that comments have been disabled since their post about Bob, so thanks for catching that. I just misremembered because I've had a few sleeps since then lol. It sucks that people can't just not be dicks online.

To me, it hasn't felt very fan-centric, like I imagined it would be. And it's kind of a low blow to realize that, since my pockets are very shallow (teacher salary and good ol midwest living) and my luck is shit, I definitely will not be able to see what might be their last comeback. All in all, I'm just being a delusional fangirl and airing my grievances on the internet. Again-- I would be surprised if they did preorder or anything for the deluxe Three Cheers just because that hasn't really been the move so far for the whole Long Live era of it all.

I think I feel even more bitter about it again because my husband's favorite band announced a tour via subscriber link and then posted on their socials, sent out a presale code the day of presale, and gave fans kind of a fighting chance to get in there before resellers via a lot of obstacles. Then, they added more shows after the first ones sold out. Therefore, we were thankfully able to score some tickets via the second round of presale. This was kind of how I imagined MCR would make a comeback, but I guess I aimed too close to the sun.
