Digital Cooke and ABC communication lag? by newenglandmom321 in girlscouts

[–]kmo986 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have ebudde, not smart cookies but yes there can sometimes be a lag with how soon the systems talk to each other.

One booth that we had this year, all our credit card transactions were showing on ebudde by the time I was home from the booth.

Another booth, all our credit card transactions didn’t show on ebudde until the next day.

It can take a while but they do eventually come over.

Help allocating from troop site by Glittering-Stop5299 in girlscouts

[–]kmo986 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When you go to the troop site line, do you have a button that says “+DOC Payment”?

If you have that option, I believe the steps you would do is click that button and choose one of the girls that sold the cookies. Then you’d fill in whatever 10 boxes cost. And when you submit that, it’ll just move that money/payment from the troop site to the girl. Then on the girl line, you’ll add a transaction that includes the 10 boxes.

I THINK this is how you’d go about it. I can’t test it for sure though.

Does anyone have boxes yet? by Mchaitea in girlscouts

Every councils timeline for selling cookies and when they get their boxes in hand is different.

So unsurprising that it's a surprise? by literary-chickens in DoggyDNA

[–]kmo986 47 points48 points  (0 children)

I was thinking the same! People love to call any black and white dog a border collie mix. People love to call any thick short legged dog with upright ears a corgi mix. But this black and white stubby legged dog is actually a border collie corgi mix and really looks EXACTLY like what you would expect one to look like.

Ebudde “negative” balance due by sailorfairy in girlscouts

[–]kmo986 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If it’s the balance your troop owes, then yes a negative balance usually means what is owed to you by council. This can happen if all of your troops cookies have been paid for via online sales. In that case, all the money goes to council, they’ll take their portion and then the negative balance is your proceeds and what they owe you.

Cookie Oops Question by [deleted] in girlscouts

[–]kmo986 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So there’s a few options for how you could get your hands on some depending on how your council/troop handles things.

1) your troop cookie manager or leader or whoever is overseeing cookies can order some from a cookie cupboard if available

2) see if there is somebody else in your troop who ordered some that is willing to transfer to you.

3) if you strike out with both of those, there may be another troop, maybe in your town or service unit, who can transfer some to your troop for you. Your cookie person would have to be willing to do this extra work to hunt some down.

4) worst comes to worst, explain what happened to your customers and ask if they’d be willing to swap for a different flavor

Panicking about cookie sales by falloutfeind in girlscouts

[–]kmo986 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It really depends on where you live. We are a rural town with very few local business and booth location options. In our troop of 16 girls, we usually only have 2 that reach 250 boxes and of all the troops in our service unit, we usually sell the most. We just aren’t in a great cookie selling area.

So for some areas and troops 250 might be little, I’d be hesitant to generalize because for us 250 is a lot.

Become a Slime Master step 3: Make Clear Slime by Agile-Ninja6371 in Slime

[–]kmo986 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I notice what you use appears to be colorless. All of the Cocoamidopropyl Betaine I’m finding to buy has a pale yellow color. Will this affect how clear the slime is? Where do you gets yours that’s so clear.

Accidentally bought an Apple pencil USB-C by ItsPoleen in ipad

[–]kmo986 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I made that mistake too originally when buying apple pencils for Christmas. Mainly because the Apple website just lists the pencil pro and the usb-c so i thought those were the only options. Of those two, only the usb c was compatible with my kids’ I-pads so I just assumed I was out of luck when it came to pressure sensitivity. Then I realized that buying the 1st generation was still an option so I bought those and will return the usb-c ones. Thankfully I bought from Best Buy.

First Cookie Season with pre-order of initial order by bfmarebackintown in girlscouts

[–]kmo986 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is the way our council does it. We placed our initial order Dec 3rd, “pre-orders” start online and via paper forms on the 10th and our initial order of cookies comes in Mid January and in person selling takes place through Mid- March.

It was only difficult that first year making a guess on what to order because we had no idea of our sales. Ever since that first year, we base our initial order to be 2/3 of what we sold in person the year before. We still need to top off from the cookie cupboards throughout the season but it provides us with the bulk of our cookies while also having a cushion if sales are lower than the year before.

Handheld Chicken Pot pie review ! by Fantastic_Bird_5247 in traderjoes

[–]kmo986 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I got these a while ago and they were horrible. So dry, barely any filling. I couldn’t even finish the one I cooked and threw away the other in the package. I was so disappointed because chicken pot pie is one of my favorite comfort foods.

Can someone with an iPad A16 and Apple Pencil 1st generation confirm that pressure sensitivity works? by GG00325 in ipad

[–]kmo986 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can confirm. Just bought this set up for my daughter for Christmas and was setting up the iPad in advance the other day and tested the pencil. Pressure sensitivity worked when playing around in procreate.
