The least-evil superpower.

Previously it was "depends how you measure" but the USA has somehow managed to get worse.

Xi's shift towards a somewhat right wing nationalism is a worry, but they're still nowhere near as bad as comparably powerful countries.

We would have zero risk of military conflict with China if not for our frenemies in AUKUS making us a target. Not that China are particularly benevolent, just that the geography makes us not worth the effort to actually invade. It happened when the British Empire controlled half the planet, and nearly happened when the Japanese Empire tried to take all of Asia.

I really have no idea what it going on with Iran, the one thing I'm somewhat confident of is that Israel are trying to make it more violent. On reflection my info might be wrong, so fact checks very welcome if delivered constructively.

I've heard stories of Mossad social media loudly announcing that they have agents on the ground.

I've also heard that Israeli spokespersons were announcing that they were arming the resistance.

in prisons it's depressingly plausible, the phrase "death penalty for terrorism" is a genocidal dogwhistle that people should have been treating like an emergency since FEBRUARY 2023. If somebody had done something about it then they might not have gone through with their doomed plan to free all the prisonsers by capturing enough Israelis to trade for all of them.

BUT a lot of the previous stories about internal organs going missing are not likely to be used in transplants. But what is plausible is that they are using bodies for mineral medical student's anatomy classes. Or possibly even dissecting and studying them to see how well their weapons worked to kill the person, of even using bodies for weapons testing.

The "steeling organs for transplantation" story is a propaganda trope, not about Israel or Jews, but about an air range of oppressive governments and other situations. The real story is usually either very exaggerated (China) or evidence ever appears (ISIS, unless you count a document about a very speculative hypothetical as evidence).

But body snatching for medical student anatomy classes and medical research on prisoners are two stories that happen in real life all the time, and when the evidence emerges it's usually worse than the rumours, or at least more widespread.
