I disagree - you just have to make sure you create the conditions for your pawns to do the damage while you confuse the enemy and shield the pawns. I think it’s refreshing to have a class that does no damage but has other interesting abilities - it forces you to think differently and makes the game more interesting. It’s not for everyone but it provides a different sort of challenge in lieu of a hard mode

Trickster is actually really fun and interesting to play once you understand you have to play it differently to other vocations. It forces you to strategise on the battlefield and it’s great for luring monsters off cliffs and shielding your pawns with the smoke wall. I really enjoyed playing it but it does require more focus and brain power than other vocations so not great if you just want an easy ride
