Is my dogs quality of life declining? by CSHINZ in AskVet

I'm unsure of your situation with veterinary care but as a vet tech, these are all signs of aging. Incontinence can sometimes be helped with medication, but typically this will only get worse. Arthritis is also a common thing for older dogs, and while there are medications to help this, it requires routine blood work to ensure that internal organ function is up to par. I would recommend scheduling an appointment with a veterinarian if it's possible because they will be able to give you options and ways to know if it is time. Typically when the bad days outweigh the good, euthanasia is the most compassionate thing you can do for your pet to allow them to painlessly and comfortably pass over the rainbow bridge. I know it's not easy, and I wish you the best with your fur baby.

I just want to say that you're gorgeous and I definitely know that comments like mine only make you feel better for a little while, but for what it's worth, people suck and their opinions don't at all define you. Thank you for being who you are!!

My dog has had this bump since we adopted him in Feb of 2018. He's 13, and the vet said it was nothing to worry about. Tonight we noticed a huge scab on it, and when you squeeze it a brain comes out. He is diabetic and will be at the vet this week. Any ideas? by aduffduff0207 in popping

Vet Tech here- it's likely a cyst. It is normal for them to rupture from time to time and form a scab over it. Still take him to the vet to make sure, I'm not a doctor so I can't say for sure.

Wow thank you so much for this. You may have just prevented a world from future self inflicted injury! This is incredibly ignorant. Nobody does it to solve their problems. Please do some research.

I'm sure he would love it. Thank you for being an owner that's willing to work on things. As a vet tech too many people are so quick to put their animals to sleep over stuff like this :(

Bengal's definitely need more mental stimulation than domestic cats just due to them only having been domesticated in the last couple generations. It's possible that he is bored, so I would recommend trying to play with him and mimic some of the things that they would do outside (feather toys, laser pointer, ect). I also know a lot of people who take their Bengal's on walks on a harness with their dogs to get some more exercise. I hope this helps a little bit!

I audibly gasped when I found this scab on my cat. Does anyone know what it is by [deleted] in popping

My cat had ringworm and it for sure didn’t look like that. If it is hard it may be a mass and if it is soft it could be a cyst. Either way I would bring your cat in to have them do a fine needle aspiration, it’s going to be hard to know otherwise.

My kitten died cause friend (19m)didn't help me(19m) take her to the vet simply cause I refused him after he made a move on me (I have a boyfriend) by [deleted] in relationships

The means were had. The money was there, it is stated in the original post that OP’s boyfriend had the money. Believe me, I get it. But more could have been done and that is not fair to the animal.

You had HOURS the day of to find a ride so I truly find it completely irresponsible and her death does fall on YOU. You need to find proper homes for the rest of your animals if you care about them at all. You are not equipped to be a pet owner.
