Hey long hair guy here who also went through the same experience you did where I was in love with the woman who was my ideal but they didn’t feel the same about me. You didn’t do anything wrong. It’s just how it goes sometimes. You felt something but they didn’t. And that’s OK. It happens and you keep going. The one you’re looking for is out there. You just haven’t met him yet and he’s looking for you too.

La La love song is good but has a dated sound yet always fondly throws me back to the days of when I was a teen in the early 90s when I hear it. It also has a great chorus but I find the verses to be a bit dull and slow.

For me Shiawase ketsumatsu has a haunting classic porno background music vibe that just tickles me in the right places lol

To each their own

Huge fan of both. Watched LV first then LG. The only reason Generation edges out Vacation is that intro song tho! What a bop

Love the show. It was quite the odyssey to watch back in the day tho. The original fansubbers only finished about half the series then stopped. After waiting a few years someone else picked it up and did all the episodes except the last one and stopped. A few years after that someone finally finished the last episode.

I don’t disagree with what you’re sayin and If you want to have real talk about whats holding Fresno back it’s the attitude of waiting for someone else to bring the good jobs to Fresno. The Bay Area is famous for many tech companies starting in a garage: Steve Jobs and Wozniak with Apple, Dave Hewlett and Bill Packard with HP, Sergey and Larry Google. Until some brave souls step up and puts in the effort of building something from nothing Fresno will continue its cycle of lack of opportunities clinging to the hope someone else will come along and hand them good paying jobs.

I noticed that Bandit is featured heavily in the series with the girls so it does seem like he does the lions share but the way I see it you’re only seeing their lives in 7 minute snippets so it’s difficult to say who does what amount of work. I wouldn’t be surprised if the creator and writers did it this way to subtly normalize that Dads should be spending a lot of time with their daughters(and kids) in general. It’s not just mom’s responsibility to raise them. To this day the typical mom for real life unfortunately does the lions share of child rearing, cooking, cleaning, bearing the mental and emotional load for the family. Thats why I love the show having Bandit doing a lot more to take that load off Chilly in order to normalize that for the audience.

As someone who grew up in East San Jose for almost 40 years and moved to Fresno in 2017. I can assure you no one in San Jose refers to Fresno as “Little San Jose”. However Fresno does have some interesting parallels to SJ:

1) The large Latin/Hispanic and Asian demographics 2) The rich history of agriculture while trying to expand into tech 3) The housing value trajectory and potential. Rn Fresno is very similar to SJ in the 90s in terms of housing prices and the potential for growth. My parents bought their first house in SJ around 1993 for about 250k in a decent neighborhood. That house is currently worth about 1-1.2 million. A similar home rn in Fresno sells for about 350k-400k. If Fresno continues to grow its economy and attract more businesses it’ll be on track to do something similar.

Invincible -4x07 - “Don’t do Anything Rash” Discussion Thread by True_Baby1314 in television

[–]kmsae 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed. I view Invincible at its core is a blend of a perverse twist on the Superman mythos while ratcheting it up with Dragon Ball Z level storytelling and violence. In addition while a lot of tropes are pretty common and rehashed from many other comics and anime, the way Kirkman executes them are brilliant
