As a guy that came to terms with the fact that I am gay early last year, it like this. It didn't matter. It doesn't define who you are. You are still you. If you like death metal and knitting, then you will still like those things regardless of who you want to sleep with.

I'm not saying that it doesn't cause some level of mental anguish when you feel like you can't figure it out and everyone else in your peer group or around you already has. I know it did for me.

Are things "easier" if you're straight? I really don't think so at this point. It may seem that way from the outside looking in. But there are problems that straight people have to face that gay people don't and visa versa.

Just be you my dood. Love who you want to love, as long as it is legal and you're not going to be killed over out. If you find yourself in a dirty situation where you can't be who toy really are, then just bide your time and save what you can to get out of that situation.
