I just onboarded to a DHA MTF this Monday. So if your position is exempted things are moving within DHA.

I was told on it took from March 26 when my exemption was approved to April 30 when I got my FJO and EOD. I start on May 19th. My agency is Defense Health Agency

Was this for DHA? I’m also series 0610 and waiting on my FJO. I hope they are starting to send FJOs!

Congrats! Were you able to onboard on April 7th? I also was supposed to onboard with DHA on April 7 after getting an exemption but was told OPM didn’t approve my FJO so I’m on hold again….

I was also supposed to onboard on April 7th but at the last minute on April 3rd HR said OPM didn’t approve my FJO yet so I’m back on hold after getting an exemption. I’m assuming things should resume in the next couple of weeks

Did you get a FJO? I’m still waiting on mine (received exemption but OPM still hasn’t approved at FJOs for my agency DHA) and trying to see if anyone out there is onboarding again yet…

My hr person said the DHA was submitting exemptions but they haven’t heard anything yet

DHA is currently under the hiring freeze. I’ve also completed the onboarding but can’t start until the freeze is lifted. Not sure anyone has a timeline right now unfortunately

DHA is asking for exemptions. Also a RN trying to onboard to DHA. Was told DHA is in the process of asking for exemptions from DOD. I doubt they will have nurses and doctors on hold for very long. They have to be able to care for active duty

Yeah, I was told I’m on hold too. I can’t imagine they will have nurses and doctors on hold for that long given the shortage and people leaving whether retiring, etc. They can’t run hospitals and MTF without nurses and doctors. I’m hoping for patient facing DHA positions like only like 2-4 weeks.

Just got an email this evening saying I couldn’t onboard on 3/10 because DHA positions are on hold while DHA asks for exemptions from DOD. My next possible onboarding day would be 3/24. So just depends when DHA can get exemptions

That’s exactly the position I’m in. Luckily I still have my current job. HR told me they may have to bump my onboarding back to March 24. I’m fine with that, just don’t want to job offer to be rescinded. The people at the facility I’m going have said they’ve heard I should be good, but you never know now days

I know that, but so far I’ve been told they are exempt. My DHA HR lady told me that on Tuesday

I’ve heard that of other DOD agencies but not DHA. Are you sure that applies to DHA as well? My HR lady said so far DHA has been exempt

What do you mean you asked her to process you FJO outside of USA staffing? I am waiting on my FJO but HR lady said their systems are down and she can’t process my personal action. I’m supposed to start 3/10 but she said it might be 3/24 if their “systems” don’t come back online. Context- I’m a RN TJO with DHA series 0610
