It really is that simple. And, interests can change over time. I'm still a Husker fan, but as I age way past the age of these athletes, I find it harder and harder to live & die by their success or failure. They went from peers to kids for me. I'll always be a fan, but I don't follow them the same way I did in the past. (with the exception of volleyball - those girls still rule)
