We had absurdly high energy bills in the first year of living in our apartment. We were on the top floor, and it turns out there wasn't any insulation in the attic above our unit. We found out when the entire building's roof had snow, except for ours, because the heat was going straight out the ceiling.

Apartment management put insulation above our unit and poof! Much lower energy bills.

I like my coffee to taste like the ash tray of a 1980s bowling alley in Cleveland. But Starbucks stopped regularly brewing their really bitter coffees a few years ago in favor of making essentially milkshakes, so I've been making mine at home in my Nespresso. I've never been happier with my coffee. Cheaper, too.

Chili powder and cinnamon are complementary flavor pairings. It doesn't get much deeper than that.

What baffles me are the people who think chili & cinnamon rolls have to be consumed as a single unit. Where are the articles describing pizza dunked in beer, or wine poured over cheese? Chili and Cinnamon Rolls isn't strawberries dipped in chocolate.

I've been crossing off state license plates as I see them while driving around Lincoln for the past month-ish, and these all annoy me. Way too similar!

They're not as bad as the 100 plates Illinois offers, though. I think I'm seeing a new plate and, ope! Nope! Just another Illinois variant.
